Lmao, reading through this thread from beginning to end is hilarious.

From the initial shock, sadness, and anger about an injury to a key player, to the justification that "We'll be alright, Pau can play a little 5 and maybe we can even go small ball. It's all good."

Then the free agent and trade ideas started sprouting. Then panic set in as speculation arose about him being out 6 months or possibly even longer.

And finally, with one quick link to a Woj report, everything is back to normal. Order is restored in the basketball universe.

God bless fanatics. :vic2:

It's like the 5 stages of grief.. but for sports..

Also, one bad fall can mess up the dudes back for the rest of the year.
The Lakers FO knows more than you. Sorry.

hah yeah if you have a week to read it
Abdul-Jabbar told the San Francisco Chronicle last month he met Howard only once and that Howard expressed an interest in learning from the former Lakers captain but he never again reached out to Abdul-Jabbar.

‘He’s charming, he’s charismatic, very nice young man,’ Abdul-Jabbar said. ‘Maturity-wise, he doesn’t get it.’

Haha for real, I love it though.

And yeah that's true. I realize there's still a risk, we're not out of the woods yet on this injury. Wouldn't surprise me if he still missed some regular season games, but it's good news that it's not as bad as we initially thought.

if he's not 100% when he comes back, he wont be very effective :/ his effectiveness is determined mostly by his jumping ability. lets pray yall...

Kobe and Randle led Lakers lead the team to a 32-50 record. the Lakers select Myles Turner with the 5th pick.

Great news too hear! I'm just hopeful that he'll actually be back to 100% when he gets back and not just trying to play through it and rushing recovery time.

Doc Rivers played with it for years and so is Jared Sullinger.

Power forward Jordan Hill quite likely will be the Lakers' most valuable bench player this season — and he was the one guy who really was going for it early in training camp. That's why it was such a relief for the Lakers that the herniated disc in Hill's back isn't so severe that he can't play through it.

It's not all bad for the Lakers if Hill, Jamison, Meeks and Steve Blake make it a veteran bench as long as the vets are hungry.
