Dwight's full reply to Shaq on NBA.com preferring Bynum and Brook Lopez as centers: "I don't ...
care what Shaq says. Shaq played the game; he’s done. He’s done. It’s time to move on. He hated the fact that when he played, the older guys were talking about him and how he played. And now he’s doing the exact same thing. Just let it go. There’s no sense for him to be talking trash to me. He did his thing in the league. He was one of the most dominant players to ever play the game. Sit back and relax. You did yours. Your time is up. So I don’t really care. He can say whatever he wants to say.”
(Will you ever get on the same page with Shaq?) “What do we need to be on the same page for? … I have respect for him and what he did for basketball. That’s it. Like I said, he has already did his thing. He played. When my time is up, there’s going to be somebody else who can do everything I can do and probably do it better. Instead of me talking about him, I’ll do my job to try to help him get to where I’m at. I think that’s what guys who have done it before us should do.
(Did you ever have any relationship with Shaq?) “I don’t know what we’ve had.”
(Will you have a relationship with Kareem?) “Me and Kareem have talked. That’ll stay private.”

Great response from Dwight. Nash, Kobe and Dwight have a common enemy now and that will help with team bonding. Thanks for being a catalyst in helping the Lakers gel, Shaq

Shaq's reply to Times-Picayune last month about Dwight to Lakers: "Don't have a reaction. You have to care ...
to have a reaction. I've got businesses to run. I always tell people that in order to step in my shoes you have big shoes to fill. For him, he's going to have to at least win three to get people's respect.
lol yea right he doesn't care

when people talk about the 3-peat among laker fans it's all centered around kobe
and with dwight here shaq will become just a hired help. someone who helped win 3 championships but was never really a Laker.

lol shaq is so nervous that dwight will take his spot, shaq isn't really loved in LA like magic and kobe. Shaq is just that guy that everyone remembers from 8 years ago that was fun back then

I totally agree and what's funny is that Shaq did it to himself. Going from team to team, taking shots at Kobe and the Lakers franchise, saying "x player" is the best I've ever played with, the ultimately ending his career with the Celtics that lost him a majority of Lakers fans.
I appreciate everything the big fella did for the franchise and is the most dominant player I've ever seen play the game, but he needs to get rid of this act where he still thinks he's in the NBA.
