If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

being that they have to pay duhon 4 mill I highly doubt that.if DJO keeps impressing in camp they'll probably have him active instead of Duhon.

Neither will play so whats the point of signing the other guy and now giving duhon his 4 mill for doing nothing. There not gonna spend millions to make the back up back up back up positions better. Anything we give DJO is doubled in our salary due to the luxury tax. So unless the guy is actually getting consistent playing time which is extremely unlikely whats the point of spending all that money. He just another body at the camp for practice. If he's lucky he will be on the defenders. They would rather have DJO instead of Duhon because of his athleticism and being an end of the bench guy that can get people hyped. That is his point and his only point. Duhon isn't taking the back up pg spot from Blake so I don't see him getting any burn nor benefit from it.
if DJO keeps impressing in camp he'll be a much better 'end of the bench' guy than Duhon is. They won't play Duhon cause he has a contract. if DJO impresses over him in camp and practice he'll get the spot. Whether he plays or not.

DJO isn't a PG.if DJO keeps impressing in camp they'll probably have him active instead of Duhon.

The Lakers can carry 15 to opening day by the way. 12 active, 3 non-active.
Active:
C: Howard / Hill
PF: Gasol / Jamison / Clark
SF: World Peace / Ebanks
SG: Bryant / Meeks
PG: Nash / Blake / Morris
Inactive:
Duhon (or Blake if his injury persists)
D-League:
Odom
Sacre

It has nothing to do with they should play him cuz he make more money. It has to do with getting rid of duhon and adding DJO would cost so much money it wouldnt be worth it. If they give DJO the spot and kick out Duhon they will still have to pay duhons salary plus the luxuray tax and they getting nothing out of that player even for practice. Then they would probably give DJO about a mill then that would add 2 mill to payroll including the luxury. So just to get some guy who is nothing but a practice player and will see nothing but garbage time they are wasting 8 mill on someone who could have at least been a practice player and they are paying another 2 mill for a scrub who will get no time.We only are paying Duhon 4 million because he was a necessary piece in landing Dwight. We have no other sympathetic loyalty toward him other than "thanks for landing us Dwight." if DJO impresses over him in camp he'll get the active roster spot an Duhon will be inactive.
The Lakers aren't gonna say "Well DJO is outplaying him in practice, but we aren't gonna put him on the active Roster over Duhon because Duhon makes more money."

No, but it sounds like coaches are trying to convert to PG.DJO isn't a PG.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

Goudelock must remain a Laker. He is just an outstanding shooter who can also get to the paint and score with his smooth tear drop. Keep him, please!
