In 19 minutes a game with the Clippers last season, he averaged 5.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg. Ronny averaged 6.6 ppg and 3.9 rpg in the same amount of playing time.
I know stats don't mean everything and he won't be able to replace Ronny fully, he's a good replacement for Ronny on the court.
Great signing IMO as there weren't many big men left and the thought of Vlad Rad and Mihm as our only back up big men horrified me. I only hope that this is a guaranteed contract and the Lakers don't just think of him as camp fodder.

Lakers spokesman John Black just confirmed that journeyman forward Josh Powell has been signed by the Lakers.
The 6-foot-9 Powell spent the 2007-2008 season with the Clippers, primarily as a backup forward. However, he started extensively late in the season, when starting center Chris Kaman missed 17 of the final 21 games due to an ankle injury.
