Told of Brown's comments, Nash said, "It's not that it wears me out just right now ... I'm very reluctant to worry about myself."

Nash said, "I want to learn, I want to build this team up. Then if I need to be more proactive and a bigger part of things, that'll come."

And the bright side is Nash doesn't have to run it each time. He wants it to fall back on and wants to focus on mastering the Princeton so he can switch seamlessly between the two. It's actually a very smart strategy on his part. Not something some impatient fans can grasp.

I think we forget that Nash is 38 years old! I'm really keen to see the improvements this team makes!

Something Charles Barkley idiotically forgot when he said that Nash doesn't want to play a Princeton type offense at this point in his career and would rather run every play and pick and roll each time down.

Chuck is stupid.

Ask Charles Barkley if when he was even 34 if he would have rather run instead of finding his spots on the court. Ask Elton Brand that too. The fact Charles Barkley said that Steve Nash at 38 would want to RUN MORE at "this point" in his career, shows how ignorant that panel can be at times. Also shows how ignorant some of our fanbase is when they are clamoring for him to run it each time down. I'm willing to bet 80% never played point guard in their life outside of NBA 2k or could put themselves in Nash's shoes. Cause you can play NBA 2k turn off the stamina and make Nash run like it was 10 years ago. But real life isn't that easy.

@LakersReporter

Nash is rehabilitating with Lakers strength coach Tim DiFrancesco, testing the leg. Seems unlikely he'd play tonight.

Tonight, the Lakers are most likely without a member of their “Super Team.” With a contusion on Steve Nash’s lower right leg, the starting point guard is still a game time decision for tonight.

“It’s a game-time decision. It doesn’t look good, but they haven’t ruled him out yet.” – Coach Brown

After this morning’s shoot around, Coach Mike Brown expressed the difficulty of tonight’s game with or without Nash. Howard, however, doesn’t sound worried.

“If he doesn’t play tonight, we’ve been going over a lot of film in the back, and I’ve been working on my guard skills. I might be Steve Nash Howard. Tragic Johnson that’s what they’ll call me.”

Brown: "We're barely scratching the surface ... I'm really excited about the direction this can go (on offense)." LAL shot 52% w/27 assists.

Our offense has a ton of options and is going pretty well, our turnovers are the main problem though, but they will go down in time.

@LakersReporter

Brown says he's pleased w/his 2 PG's in Nash's absence, Blake & Morris notching 8 asts to 3 TO's. Also 12 pts (3 3's), aggressive D.

@LakersReporter

Brown said we saw Howard show signs of his defensive dominance last game, more so than the previous three. He gets closer each game.

@LakersReporter

The Lakers didn't really do anything physical at practice today, with yesterday's game & a day off before Wed. at Utah. Mostly film.

Blasting from the weight room to the practice court: @paugasol's latin music. Some sort of rap/techno/pop fusion. I'm digging it.

@LakersReporter

Report from Tuesday's Lakers practice: http://on.nba.com/Wsi1YM Mike Brown looking to hammer home concepts that worked.

Dwight Howard on his legs coming back

"Usually I play above the rim, but these few games I've been below the rim." He said with a smile. "So I gotta continue to work on and get my legs back .. so once they're all the way there... there's going to be trouble..."

One thing that separates Dwight for Andrew is the fact that he takes pride in being the best defensive player in the league while Drew was about his offense.
