Shot of Jodie Meeks doing drills; he has a nice, quick release.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

Good to see Jodie getting some work in early in the gym.
Picked the time the Laker girls would be practicing...that slick Jodie Meeks!!

@LakersReporter
Chris Douglas-Roberts will get a look at the next break. He's impressed consistently in practice. LAL down 10, 5:20 left.
@LakersReporter
Dwight Howard jumped off the bench to cheer CDR after he swiped a Jazz big underneath and converted plus the harm.
@LakersReporter
CDR, the last signee for camp, has been constantly pumping Howard in practice, trying to drive him to be mean on the court.
Pretty nice stuff, hope he keeps pushing Howard.
So CDR is on Howard's good side, AND Kobe's?

Clark wasn't going to get burn on this team. With that being said, I wish him a speedy recovery.
Looks like my prediction of our lineup is correct so far
Steve Nash/Steve Blake/Duhon/Morris
Kobe Bryant/Jodie Meeks/ CDR
Metta World Peace/Ebanks
Pau Gasol/Jordan Hill/ Antawn Jamison/Earl Clark
Dwight Howard/Robert Sacre
bolded out the 3 inactives, but I didn't know Clark would be inactive due to injury.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
Teams to close practice: Nash, Kobe, MWP, Jamison & Sacre (purple) vs Blake, Meeks, Ebanks, Gasol & Howard (white). White up 9-4.
Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
For purple, MWP had all 4 points until Kobe's J; Howard & Gasol scoring w/ease for white. #bigs #10footrim
Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
Nash hit a 3 to counter Gasol's baseline lefty hook, but Gasol found Howard for another dunk. Gasol/Howard are fun together.

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
The smalls, once down 9-1, came all the way back to tie at 16 (final score) on Jamison's corner 3. Kobe had 6 straight down the stretch.
Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
Jamison missed a chance to win off a drive & kick from Nash, forcing a 3-min. OT. You got purple (Kobe/Nash/ MWP) or white (Howard/Gasol)?

Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
White had a tough time getting Pau/ Dwight the rock in OT, & Kobe drained 2 J's before making the game-sealing steal. Smalls win.

All you hear about Kobe in practice is true; his hate of losing & will pushes his team. Nash a key helper today. Meeks competed w/Bryant.
@LakersReporter
Dwight Howard looked great again in practice today, but he won't play in Tuesday's preseason game in Anaheim. Still progressing.

@LakersReporter
Dwight Howard said he really feels good re: his back. "There's no pain." He's just trying to get in peak condition b4 game play.
Translation: I'm 100% physically but I need to get my conditioning up so that I can give 110% on the court cause I don't want to get tired when I'm supposed to be helping.
Seems like the only hurdle left for Dwight right now is conditioning.

Thanks

Mike Brown reiterates his philosophy of preseason as getting looks at different guys & combos within the system; not about W's & L's.
