The title says it all- does the NHL need to slim down in order to stay competitive? If so, who should go?

^ congrats to you. Then maybe you shouldn't have posted here.

I think there are a few teams that obviously need to be removed or at least move. Moving would be the best option cuz then the league wont change to much.

Lol if you don't like it why did you respond to it. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it sucks.... But back on topic they should get rid of the columbus bluejackets they are just got awful, but that is the only team because all the teams that are not good right now have to much history .

History. Plus the teams in Canada.
Not sure who should be contracted.

I think Columbus and the New York Islanders should relocate to Canada, Toronto has a big enough market for another team, and with Leafs fans being so tortured, they would welcome a better team. Quebec City is in the process of building an NHL arena.

I don't get why Americans hate hockey so much, it's violent and fast paced, tougher than football. It seems like you only enjoy slow paced sports like baseball and football, although I do watch baseball and football too...

Ironic how they changed the rules a couple years back to have more scoring but it still isn't appealing enough haha
