Not sure how I feel about Jim Carrey being in this. If he's focused and does it right, it could be fine, but he can also mess it up if he overdoes it or tries to be too funny or something.

Liked the 1st one. Hope this one is good too. Though it was an original movie making a squeal doesn't always work.

So glad to know the original Hit-Girl will be back in this. Initially, for a long time it was said she would be taking no part in any potential sequel, thankfully that changed.

Jim Carrey can be versatile when needed. He's know for pure comedy roles but can tone it down and be serious

Jim carrey is one of the GOATs of comedic acting. He doesn't need to try to be funny, he is funny

Chloe Moretz and Nicolas Cage were the only good things about the first one.

Otherwise, that film was a mess. Promised a lot of stuff it didn't come close to delivering.

What did is promise?

It was a film created for your average teenager guy. Had a lot of fighting in it and had a loser guy get the hot girl, sounds like the perfect dream for a lot of high school dudes. They never tried to make a great movie just one that would attract the teenage masses and they did a pretty good job at that.

That's what I'm saying as well. Couldn't agree more, which is why I'm saying again, this could either be good or real bad depending on whether he leans the route of trying too hard to be funny and instead coming off as irritating or if he stays more serious & grounded, which would probably suite the film better.

It billed itself as such. During the making of it that's what they portrayed it as. In the end it was a clunky hunk of junk that had a couple good moments in it. Basically two or three good sketches with ah haphazardly woven story tossed onto it.

You made my point in a roundabout way. When you try to make a movie to appeal to a lot of people and make money you're ignoring telling a quality story with characters you care about. I have plenty of friends who loved the comic and the writer of it and were vastly disappointed in the film.

Money first, story second = bad film. "Kickass" = bad film. It should've been a web or another kind of 15 minute episode type of series, would've been much more effective.

I dont disagree with you that the film was bad but they set out to make a teenage movie and thats what they did. I didnt find it that bad though because well im a teen guy lol. It had its small funny parts and some good action, of course the story wasnt anything special but thats because it was based of a comic book that also had a story just for teens. It may have dumbed down the comic a little bit, but kick ass was already based of a pretty linear comic book.
