I hope TWC says "we'll give you these channels if we can have NFL Sunday Ticket". If only...

I never knew before reading that blurb on Page 2 of this thread that the Lakers viewing area includes Hawaii.

Aloha.

I took a look at my TWC channel listing on their website and noticed that SportsNet and SportsNet Deportes is listed on the guide. According to my local TWC guide (Palm Springs area) the channel numbers are:

SportsNet standard definition: 28, 1400
SportsNet HD: 403
SportsNet Deportes standard definition: 35, 953, 1481
SportsNet Deportes HD: 481, 952

You think they have enough channels?

Yeah, I know they shut down the american version. They switched the server over to Europe so Homeland Sec can't shut them down anymore.

http://www.thefirstrow.eu/ Same with Adthe etc

I use them to watch Real Madrid, play like crap...right now...

Reports out there that NFL and Time Warner have reached deal to carry NFL Network & Red Zone. Congrats to Time Warner subscribers...finally.

^ So that means that they'd have exclusive rights to NFL network and thus it would be removed from Dish?

I wasn't far off when I said hopefully TWC makes a deal to get NFL Sunday Ticket  . I would rather have that but NFL Network and RedZone is a nice have.

No, just means they are able to carry it.

QUESTION!

So I have a Time Warner account in San Diego that I pay for because my family lives here in SD. But I'm going to be spending a lot of time in Santa Barbara this upcoming year with work and whatnot. And I don't plan on getting cable up there because, I don't plan on getting cable up there. ;) I keep reading that there WILL be online streaming available... i,e,:
--------------------------------
Will Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes have online streaming?
Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes are employing the latest technology to give fans on the go the most current coverage and updates in English and Spanish. Both networks will feature live in-market game streaming to personal computers and mobile devices, and an integrated interactive social media experience catering to the unique passions that make sports a community activity.
--------------------------------
There is no Time Warner cable up in Santa Barbara as far as I know. Could I still log online and watch Lakers games on my computer in SB through my account that I have in SD? If so, will it be in HD? Anyone know this information?

Ok so I got a question myself. If they are gonna start carrying NFL network on time Warner then is it gonna be effective immediately and a new channel for it will be there? or do we have to wait until next season?

Assuming you're talking about the NFL Network and not NFL Sunday Ticket, it should be up when they reach a deal. It's not a seasonal channel, it's up all year long.

Alright, so let's say I live outside of the Laker market area, and I grab a NBA League Pass, will the games be available to me then?

In regards to cable providers carrying the Laker channel, I think all the others are holding out for DirecTV to make a move. They're the biggest one out of the bunch with over a million subscribers in the area - and since they're known to play hardball, the other providers are going to wait it out until those two reach an agreement so they all pay the same rate.

I expect that a deal won't be reached until after the season starts, but I hope I'm wrong.

^ I hope you're wrong as well, but I get a feeling we are indeed going to miss a lot of pre-season and training camp stuff/footage. I'll just have to stream online for the time being.

TWC will piss off a lot of people if they don't reach a deal before the season starts.

If I have to stream even a few games, ill be upset. I'll probably go somewhere showing the game instead of streaming it actually. Always hated streaming.
Yeah.

Well this will be weird because majority of places around me have Direct TV. Pizza Hut , Buffalo Wild Wings, Local pizza places, even Burger King has satellite tv instead of cable. So i wonder how that would work.
