Seriously though, I hope DTV gets something done by Sunday,
Just ordered a new HD DVR, got it for free by agreeing to another 2 years with them, and installation is scheduled for Saturday around noon. I'd REALLY like to watch every remaining Laker game.
The main reason I upgraded the TV in my room from a regular SD 32 inch Sony to a new 46 inch Samsung 1080p LED was to watch this new team play. And DTV and TWC keep taking their time.
C'mon man.
Glad tomorrows game is on ESPN.

Lol knew it. TWC needs directtv and dish to have the channel more than those 2 need the channel
Therefore DTV can play hardball and TWC is trying to play hardball but the numbers don't allow them to.
Directtv is the most important provider TWC needs. Without them the channel will fall on its face and never return its investment

Kinda surprised we're 3 games into the season and still no deal for the big providers. S'go, I wanna see some Lakers
Really only 1 because one was on ESPN and another on TNT. Not sure about tomorrows game though

Arash Markazi @ArashMarkazi
Not a great sign that the Lakers' practice facility switched to TWC from DirecTV this week. They probably wouldn't if a deal was imminent.

This is just a So Cal problem for everyone involved(the providers and fans).
Dish and DTV will still make millions and millions from the rest of the subscribers in the country. TWC won't(in regards to making some extra dough to cover the 3+ billion they owe to the Lakers).
That's why I don't see them letting TWC bend them over.
Maybe they're just asking these 2 to pay more than everyone else paid. Idk.
So hardball is definitely being played by the remaining providers with TWC imo.

in SoCal that's a small base compared to the entire US. DTV has nothing to lose. TWC has everything to lose considering with a bunch of new stars on the lakers the viewership was down 64%. thats ridiculous. and that's directly in line with DTV and Dish accounting for a huge percentage of television providers.
TWC can play hardball, but they'll lose millions of dollars eventually because no general fan or person is switching over not having the channel. only a small percentage of hardcore fans might do so. and they'll likely switch to a bigger provider like AT&T

RT @DuranSports: With no Lakers games, few friends called DirecTV to cancel & were given FREE NFL package for rest of season.
