I think of a few things: Be a quality poster, be mature, be well-respected among your peers/fellow postermates and be a model citizen AKA follow the guidelines as well as you can.

Well I do those things for the most part, but I got suspended one does that kill my chances?

I don't know about definitively kill, but it certainly doesn't help. Also, no offense, but just from an outside perspective/observation, I can recall more than several times where people for whatever the reason have not gotten' along that well with you fair or not.
