On the road to making another historic feat, 30,000 points, Kobe currently has 29484 points. Where do you think will Kobe reach this milestone?

Game 16 - vs. Denver Nuggets (32.25 ppg)
Game 17 - vs. Orlando Magic (30.35 ppg)
Game 18 - @ Houston Rockets (28.67 ppg)
Game 19 - @ New Orleans Hornets (27.16 ppg)
Game 20 - @ Oklahoma City Thunder (25.8 ppg)
Game 21 - vs. Utah Jazz (24.57 ppg)

Against OKC, it seems very likely if we go by PPG though it could happen as early as Game 17.

I actually think it might be a bit later. I don't expect him to really go all out offensively early in the season.

I'm saying game 20 vs OKC , he has 516 points to go to get to get 30,000. With this teams depth I dont see Kobe kobe having too many big games scoring wise 30+. (25.8 ppg) seems about right.

I actually do expect him to go all out early on to show his ownership and leadership of the team to Dwight and Nash.
I expect a few 40 pointers by the 15th game. So I'm going to go 16

He needs 516 points.

I'm thinking this year he averages around 22 a game.

He should hit it somewhere around Game 26 or 27.

Kobe always starts the season off slow. I say he starts the first 10 games averaging 22 points, than picks it up to around 24PPG.

Game 23 Whatever that is.

Is that when he had those four 40 point games? Or was that when he wore the mask after the all-star break?

Yeah, 22.

Kobe's average will go down this year. There's more weapons all around him, he doesn't need to score 26 - 30 a game. In fact, I don't want to see him play that much to get those points. Almost 30 points?! If Kobe is averaging that much, something is broken. Kobe hasn't had this much talent around him since he was a kid. A 22 or so point average allows everyone around him to get theirs and the team still wins at a crazy clip.

Ivanfield: He also had to carry the scoring load for the team for the first 5 without Bynum and until Pau got his head back in the game. He won't have to do that this year. I know supposedly Dwight is out when the season starts, but I'll believe that when I see it. With Nash alone, Kobe's game changes completely. Luckily for us fans, the team and himself, he doesn't have to shoulder that much of the scoring burden any more.

Sticking with somewhere around game 26 or 27.
