I believe Magic Johnson has the All-Time Lakers assist record in a single game of 24 or 25. With Steve Nash on this team and the very lineup we have... is that record in legitimate trouble this year?

Tough to say. I think it honestly depends on our 3 shooting. Please please please make your 3s, Meeks, Metta, Blake, etc etc. PLEASE

Nash had 23 assists against us in a playoff game a few years ago. He could definitely pull it off with this team if given the minutes. I've seen him get 7-8 assists in a single quarter without breaking a sweat multiple times.

Well Steve is not in his MVP years anymore so it will be a tall task. And he probably won't have the playing time to do it. I can't see him play more than 30 minutes a game. Also we're not the run and gun Suns which rained threes on their opponents and gave Nash a ton of assists.

yes with not as much talent as he has on this team. He may not be surrounded by as many three point shooters but he has a better center, shooting guard and power forward than ever in his career, all of which able to get their own shots.

well, i think with kobe, meeks, jamison and dwight, he can get around 7 in a quarter.
P&R with dwight while jamison/meeks/kobe spread the floor would spread our opponent's defense like a pornstar.

I think he can.... with Joidie Meeks being wide open for 3's and with his high percentage of him making them. I think he can

I don't think so, Nash is really old and it's important to limit his minutes and not have him over exert himself. Maybe in a playoff game, though.

I doubt it. He probably won't get enough minutes to do it.

Somehow I don't think it's the minutes to do it, I think it's about the opportunities this offense creates for us. If Nash ran the pick and roll against teams that's almost an instant two points with Howard finishing, or finding the wide open player when he draws defensive attention. I think with Gasol and Howard on this team in itself he could get 11 assists off of, then you add Kobe to the equation or Meeks or Jamison, I think even at 30 minutes in a game he could possible achieve that.
