The Wolves would do that...why?

If Love demands a trade, Pau will be a $19 million expiring next season. That's why

Eh, even if a trade demand comes I'm sure there'll be a team out there to offer a marginal all-star and some young players or draft picks for Love. I don't think Love will have his preferred destinations listed like Dwight did, thus opening up far more options.

^ I don't think you realize how much they love Rubio. Though it seems unlikely obviously, it's certainly not impossible when you consider that factor.

Rubio? This is not about how much they love Rubio. Why get Pau when you can get a hellva lot more than just an aging Pau.

Rubio this is not about how much they love Rubio.

It might not be, but I'm just saying it's a factor worth at least considering.

Still don't give Timerwolves reasons to trade him for Pau just because they love Rubio.

^ I think particularly for a franchise as poor as Minnesota, it wouldn't be out of the question to feel so desperate and in fear one of your best and most popular players might leave you, that you'd consider settling on something less, though still good, to make him happy and convince him to stay. Plus basketball-wise, you have to figure Ricky & Pau would do really well considering they've been playing together much longer than that of which Ricky has with Love. His chemistry with Pau as well as friendship off the court is incomparable.

I just don't understand why they would give us a young MVP candidate for an aging used to be all star... It doesn't make any sense, even factoring in Rubio.

^ Did Kwame for Pau make sense (at the time and disregarding Marc who later lessened the steal severity of the trade)? GMs do stupid things, a lot. It's not uncommon and tis why you can't always just rule out what would appear to be the illogical.

Yea if someone comes with better players and draft picks bet they wont even think about matching Pau up with Rubio. Wolves can get way more for K-Love. I know for a fact there are teams that will give a better offer. Plus if I'm the Wolves im not going to sit here and trade my young, MVP candidate, face of the franchise for just an aging player, don't care if he demand one or not.

There's a reason Rubio is considered untouchable to Minnesota. Looks & popularity are just bonuses (business/money-wise), but on the court, you could make the case that in some ways, he is just as vital as Kevin Love to the team's overall success & the stats don't tell the whole story.

Wtf does Rubio has to do with this. Already know Rubio is untouchable, I know how much they love Rubio in Minnesota . This is about a trade for Love, If Wolves aren't getting something equal, or close to being equal in return to make up for K-Love, to make their team better now and in the future than I'm pretty sure they wont do this deal, when a better deal will be out there.

I'm glad you asked that and expected it. Basically I brought up that point to show you why or how Minnesota could think so highly enough of Rubio to actually consider accommodating him. Not that hard to figure out.

If you're already gonna' lose one potentially, you don't wanna potentially lose two as well.

I already knew that, I knew that when the owner wanted him real bad when Rubio was playing in Spain. I already knew how important he was going to be for any team he went to when he entered the draft. I knew he was going to do great his first year, told everyone that too and all they did was laugh at me. I know how he's a important piece to Wolves. Hell I thought they had a shot at the playoffs if Rubio would had never went down.

At this point, Pau can't bring in that kind of value even in a 3 way trade. At least Bynum is a young player. Not only that, Kevin Love can't become a FA until at least 3 more seasons. They have no reason to move him even if Love is unhappy right now.

A pair of players I think the Lakers should target are Paul Millsap and Marvin Williams from the Jazz. It would make the Lakers more athletic. Maybe the Timberwolves can send them Nikola Pekovic and Derrick Williams for Pau.

What I was trying to say is what does Rubio has to do with the trade. He has nothing to do with the love trade if wolves can get a better offer from love they wont even think about pairing him up with rubio. Only way it will happen if we get a team to take Pau. Pau can't bring in K Love along.

But you don't know that definitively though. Like I said, GMs have done stupid things before and they'll continue to. You cannot rule out the illogical because of this. It must at least be considered.

Trust me if they can get more for K Love they wont think about Pau. Pau can't bring in Love along. Plus they don't even want to trade love. So it will make it even harder. Hell, I think they even said they wouldn't trade K-Love for Pau.
