2. Kobe Bryant, SG, Los Angeles Lakers

Incredible toughness playing through hand injury and still the best clutch shooter in the game. He even showed leadership that carried them to the Finals, where he finally ran out of gas.

35. Pau Gasol, PF, Los Angeles Lakers

He was the perfect fit at midseason once Andrew Bynum got hurt and the Lakers exploded to win the West. But he collapsed in the physical play of the Finals and there's the question of how he'll fit with Bynum.

kobe continues to have to put up with such foolishness.... when will he have one moment to be the undisputed best in the eyes of the media...
They love saying that this is a rosters full of nobodies
PLAYER POS HT WT DOB FROM YRS
12 Ronald Dupree 1 Daniel Gibson
21 J.J. Hickson
11 Zydrunas Ilgauskas very good
00 Darnell Jackson F scrub
23 LeBron James F OK lol

3 Aleksandar Pavlovic similar to vlad rad
10 Wally Szczerbiak G-F sasha-like shooter
17 Anderson Varejao Energy guy better than scola and turiaf
4 Ben Wallace F-C still very effective (positive imprint on game and helped keep that boston series close)
13 Delonte West G jordan-farmar like
31 Jawad Williams scrub
2 Mo Williams G would be second best guard on our team ( more effective than ariza)
55 Lorenzen Wright long atheletic defense minded role player ( similar to ariza
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

LMAO that roster sucks so much [expletive]. Good job overrating everyone there (except Lebron).

Cleveland without LeBron is much, much worse than the Lakers without Kobe.

now that is true

hell no

lakers

kwame
lamar
walton
sasha
smush

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

cavs

zydrunas
gooden
newble
pavlovic
gibson

not that bad

now though because of the trades and such

lakers

andrew
pau
lamar
sasha
fisher

pretty good team

cavs

zydrunas
ben wallace
wally
delonte west
maurice williams

playoff team

so say what you want but i just put the facts out there and 2 years ago kobe had it much tougher 2 D-leaguers, average player, lazy talent and took that team to the playoffs every year except 1 lebron had players who would be solid bench players elsewhere some starters while most of kobes teammates are struggling to stay in the league

now both kobe and lebron ae well off but obviously kobe is a lot better off than lebron now

It's NOT obvious that Kobe is better. It's OBVIOUS only if you're a Laker fan.

To most people, it's a toss up.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

I'm going to write this from a totally un-biased standpoint.

Kobe is on a different level than any other player in the world. If you know basketball, and you analyze it logically and consider all aspects of the game, you'll see that Kobe's ability is unmatched currently in the NBA, which is really very reminiscent of how MJ was the best in an league during an age of Bird, Barkeley, Isaiah, and Magic.

This fact does not diminish the other stars in the NBA, and I would say LeBron is at the head of that talented group of Wade, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Chris Bosh, D-Howard, etc...

Oh wow, I expected you to disagree with your own ratings.

Obviously you're gonna say they're spot on.

i disagree

Cavs without Bron are better than Lakers without Kobe? Wow you really are hating on our team.

Nah, he's trying to prove that Lebron's Cavs team is awesome

im sayin that both teams, lack a go to guy without Kobe or Lebron. Truthfully the Cavs are a top 4 defensive team in this league, think Philly when AI was the MVP, sure you can look at that team and say Dale Davis sucked, but watch the games and the defensive effort made by the role players on those type of teams are instrumental to Lebrons success. Z, Wallace, and Varejo are Active big men,(Z is more efficient than active), delonte west is solid, daniel gibson is a shooter(better than sasha overall),and he has a coach who can do great things defensively. I think the cavs stars are underrated. The Lakers are better offensive players individually, but sometimes those basketball intangibles are missing on the defensive end of the court
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Of course the Lakers without Kobe are better than the Cavs without Lebron. That's why they're the current West Champions and NBA finalists without the starting Center, and the Cavs wouldn't have been in the West finals.

If you look at the finals, Boston took away kobe effectively and WHO stepped up to say im another consitent threat, no one, and cleveland fared better overall against boston than the lakers, and at times when lebron was in foul trouble, and now you add mo williams, and guys are learning a system through training camp. We watch the Lakers every game so we know how good each player is, but we dont see every Cav game, but its obvious that they are a good team
