It's not all about scoring visiion.

This team will have plenty of scoring without worrying about Blake's total.

Blake doesn't bring much to the team other than his ability to shoot the 3. He can't drive to the hoop. He can't defend very well. He can facilitate very averagely.

If the man can't score then what is his purpose on the Lakers? To not turn the ball over? The guy is sub par in almost every facet of his game except for the fact that he can explode for 15 points on certain nights.

For Blake, it is all about the scoring, because the man cannot do much else.

All Blake needs to do is knock down open threes and throw the ball into the post and not play awful defense. The rest of the guys on our team should compensate for everything else. If he can do that for 15 minutes a night I will be satisfied.

Kobe will definitely play more than 27 mins a game meeks isn't good enough split his minutes evenly. Id say around 33-34 like in 2011 should be plenty and mwp should def see more mintues as well. I think the starters will all see between 30-36 mintutes depending on how the bench is performing/ if we're blowing people out/etc.....

I have Kobe at 35, you probably just missed it but I have Kobe 8 minutes at SF. 27 + 8 = 35. Meeks is our best perimeter player off the bench to give him playing time only when Kobe goes out which wont be much especially in close games.

This team is spending so much money now, I would be surprised if they sign any more people.

I, unlike a lot of people, have confidence in Blake. he wasn't as terrible as everyone seems to think he was. He was playing starting minutes and he isn't a starter, the guy's a back-up, always has been always will be. With far less pressure on him and now being settled into his normal role, I don't see Blake as a weakness at all.

I agree, I have nothing wrong with Blake in this role, hes not the best but hes not the worst either, unless Mitch can do his magic and somehow get a cheaper and better player for Blake or Duhon at the backup pg position than im all for it but even Mitch isnt that good. No one is going to take either of those contracts unless a 1st Round pick is attached to it and im not sure if the Lakers even have any 1st Round Picks left for a while hahah but even then its not worth it to just improve the backup PG position when Blake can fill in that role just fine now that the Lakers added some scoring punch off the bench. All he needs to do is hit open shots, move the ball around, and play defense. I think he can.

Mike Brown: Play Kobe for 40 minutes, Pau for 39 minutes, Dwight for 40 minutes, and then Nash for 38 (gotta give him some rest).

I have no problem with anything in the lineup, other than a lack of confidence in Ebanks.

I'm not a fan, and haven't been. I seriously doubt his ability to bring anything to this new team. The level of expectations and need has been bumped up considerably. Ebanks couldn't deliver consistency or anything before when this team was in second round purgatory. Now that it's championship or bust, I don'[t have much faith that he can provide anything more than minute / playing time relief.

Hopefully he can suprise me, but to me that's the glaring weakness on this roster.

That's pretty much right. And Mitch knows it too. Ebanks won't be a rotation player heading into the playoffs. We'll either sign another wing or maybe even bring back Barnes (I'm not a fan, but he's a much better option that Ebanks).

That was only case because of the lack of depth and scoring the bench really had, so Kobe basically HAD to be out there. People blame Brown for those rotations but they were mainly that way because of the lack of depth in our bench.

You can't complain about Blake playing the 2 and then complain about Kobe playing too many minutes. Goudelock wasn't ready to backup for Kobe.

At this point with our bench Kobe shouldn't have to play so many minutes.

Calling Blake trash is a compliment with the way he played last year.

yes, saving us against the Nuggets and having big games in that series was so terrible, I'm sure you hated every 3 pointer he made
