The Broncos won their championships in the late 90's because of their FA signings.

 

It seems like John Elway is trying to repeat that.

Seahawks agreed to terms with DE Cliff Avril on a multi-year contract.

That escalated quickly. Avril's market had
been dead quiet to this point, but the Seahawks came out of nowhere to
snap him up. Avril turns 27 in April. He has 29 sacks and nine forced
fumbles over the last three seasons. Although some have attributed
Avril's success to drawing single teams next to Ndamukong Suh and Nick
Fairley, Lions GM Martin Mayhew thought enough of Avril's edge-rush
ability to pay him over $10 million in 2012 as Detroit's franchise
player. In Seattle, Avril will add to the Seahawks' pass rush along
with Bruce Irvin as Chris Clemons tries coming back from a torn ACL.
Avril will be an immediate candidate for 9-12 sacks.

I never believed Jackson was coming. TT [expletive]ed up by not trading for Lynch 3 years ago at the deadline.

I still think Jennings walks. His ego took a hit, won't want to feel like he lost by resigning in GB.

I think it's the Vikings or some team from out of nowhere.

Dumervil's agent just tried to pull a quick one on them.

 

They agreed to the pay cut (going from $12m salary to $8m) but didn't file the paperwork by the deadline, the Broncos cut Dumervil before his $12m salary became guaranteed.  

The agent sent the paperwork 7 minutes past the deadline.

 

What a bush league move by his agent.

Apparently Dumervil's agents idea was to get the $5m from the Broncos (guaranteed money after being released) and then get the $8m from another team, bringing Dumervil's salary back up to $12m+ for the year.

Dont put all that on Joe better look at Suggs contract too.  Contract or not we would've lost most of those guys its only 6 million hit this year thats less than a lot of starters

That's not how it works in the NFL. Baltimore's strength has always been it's defense.

If Flacco is a top ten QB then pay him top ten money... not number one money.

Oh damn I always wondered what happened to JC. He was supposed to be a big time player at SC but was constantly injured and when he got suspended by Kiffin for team rules violation, he was the first player to take advantage of the transfer rule the NCAA implemented because of sanctions.

Hope he catches on somewhere and has a good career. Always heard good things about him.
