plus he's been living here for like a year now because he played with the clips

It still doesn't change that fact that he never liked us.

remember Dwights going to be out till probably december

so Martin wouldn't be bad to add more depth

Pau
Martin
MWP
Kobe
Nash

Until dwights back, once dwight is back Martin would have to resort to the bench.

Hill
Martin
Jamison(Natural Pos)
Meeks
Blake

If they really do sign him that means Dwight is gonna be out for a little bit to start the season. We have enough bigs already

You know that if we do sign him , that will make it 7 players in the roster who have been an allstar in their career.

He's a small PF. Gasol will start th season at Center. Hill or Sacre will back up Pau. Jamision may start at PF because McBob is gone. No big deal. we don't need Kmart

I think Jamison will be the back up SF which is why the Lakers are interested in Martin.

Hill/Martin/Jamison/Meeks/Blake

Good mix of youth and veteran players. Twice the bench we had last year.

Don't really like the idea of Jamison at the 3, to be honest. I doubt he can guard those younger, quicker SFs. Not that he can guard the bigger PFs either. But it defeats the purpose of having a stretch 4.

If Jamison is the back up 3, expect to see different rotations (reason why Ebanks is being brought back).

It will depend on the opponent who plays the back up 3 minutes. Also don't forget, Martin can also guard 3's. He's a pretty smart defender. Hill/Martin/Ebanks is nice defensively off the bench. We can't be any worse than McRoberts/Murphy/Barnes.

I really dont see the logic in getting K-Mart.

We already are loaded in the frontcourt with Dwight, Gasol, Jamison, Hill, Sacre and Clark. In fact, I doubt Sacre and Clark would see any minutes at all, which is too bad as they could have potential.

We need another wing, not another big!!!

contract year, he aint about to take any chances, neither are the lakers. it sucks, its like getting a shiny new sportscar foryour birthday and having to wait for the keys, but better safe than sorry. they will be fine without him for a while anyways, it might even help to get other guys going. would be nice to have everyone able to practice though, hopefully he'll be good for light practices at least
Abdul-Jabbar told the San Francisco Chronicle last month he met Howard only once and that Howard expressed an interest in learning from the former Lakers captain but he never again reached out to Abdul-Jabbar.

‘He’s charming, he’s charismatic, very nice young man,’ Abdul-Jabbar said. ‘Maturity-wise, he doesn’t get it.’

That's true. I remember Martin guarding Kobe at times. The best thing about this team is that they've got A LOT of options depending on the matchup. Hopefully that doesn't give Mike Brown an excuse not to have a set rotation though. <_<

Didn't Minnesota want JHill? If we pick up Kmart now It would give us the option to make a move before the deadline if one of those two aren't performing/seeing time. We want Dwight resting as long as possible b4 playing so the depth and experience of Martin would easily by us all the time we needed. I say sign him and wait til everything plays out in season, and if we need to make a move, both those guys have drawn enough interest this offseason to easily be dealt for a need that may arise later.
