Dodgers complete deal for Victorino. Lindblom and Ethan Martin go to Philly. I hate losing Ethan Martin, he was going to be a good one. Victorino upgrades the offense even more. Solid move.

Sources tell me and @jonmorosi that #Yankees have indeed contacted #Cubs about acquiring Dempster. Teams not talking seriously - yet.

There's a lot of talk about other teams getting in the mix for Dempster but it could be a leverage ploy by the Cubs. They really want Webster, but I can't see the Dodgers giving him up for a rental.

#Dodgers' position is that they have made deals without moving any of top 7-8 prospects. Will not move any of them for rental like Dempster.

Looks like Dodgers couldn't get that other starter.
Not disappointed though. After the past few years, getting Ramirez, League and Victorino is a good deadline. We still have Lily and De La Rosa coming back from injuries so we'll add more depth there.
Looking forward to this ownership's desire to make a winning ball club, the Dodgers are back in play as a major player for years to come. Not getting a SP is not because of lack of effort, they made moves and kept top prospects for the future (and future moves).
