I know this is fairly recent but I was just watching these highlights and what a waste of a great performance by Kobe in this game. This guy played his heart out and he even dunked 5 times. 5 TIMES! That's crazy. The array of offensive moves he used against OKC was just plain nasty.

Some idiot is going to look at that boxscore in the future and claim that Kobe was ball-hogging throughout this elimination game. They'll see his 33 FGA in comparison to Bynum's 10 FGA and Gasol's 14 FGA.

Bynum put in one of the most half-assed efforts I've ever seen. What a waste. No one played anywhere near as hard as Kobe in that elimination game on our entire squad. Damn shame.

Seems like Kobe always shows up for game 5 yet his teammates don't.

Recent ones like 43 points vs Denver and 38 vs the Celtics last year

Hey his game showed Kobe can still play ball crazy. Don't get cool by his number. This game was Personal statement to the NBA.

Hopefully that is where Nash, Jamison (maybe Dwight) come into play!

Sometimes I think of how close we were to upsetting them, we pretty much had them figured out after game one but just couldn't close the door.   Wish we'd ran the same offense the next year with the dwight/nash lineup tbh.

We could have easily went to seven games or even won that series if it wasn't for multiple bad decisions in the last two mins of most of the games

yeah and we actually had that happen on a few road games too when we'd have a game and then we'd lose, we were just a few close wins away from different positioning entirely.   It looked like it finally started clicking against OKC but we couldn't shut the door.

It actually started appearing to come together at the end of the season before Metta got suspended and even when Kobe didn't play and Barnes stepped up and we closed the season well.

There was a lot of good stuff that happened that season that a lot of fans overlooked while complaining about Mike Brown.

I think if we'd have kept the offense and way we'd been running things with the Nash and Dwight lineup it could have gone a lot differently.  4 out 1 in with Dwight and Pau would have likely been very lethal.

I just saw Kobe blow by the self-proclaimed "best all-around player in the NBA" like a freight train at 1:49, and 1:59 Kobe basically was left unattended by Har"flop"en again.  Great vid.
