Bulls Actively Shopping Richard Hamilton



The Bulls have contacted teams to ask about their interest in trading for Richard Hamilton, sources say, but have found little interest in the 34-year-old shooting guard.

Hamilton is due $5 million next season, with a mere $1 million guarantee for 2013-14.

Hamilton averaged 11.6 points on 45.2 percent shooting last season.

Ditch Blake/McRoberts for him? If he's healthy (which I really doubt, but I can dream, can't I?) he would be an awesome backup for Kobe if we can't realistically nab OJ Mayo.

He had way too many injuries last season and he is not what he used to be even off the bench if he cant stay healthy hes not worth it. Sucks but I think hes done he'll play out his current contract and be done.

The Bulls reportedly are again very conscious of the luxury tax and want to avoid burning a year toward the repeater-tax penalties.

The Bulls have never paid the luxury tax.

Bulls Will Buy Out Richard Hamilton



Richard Hamilton scored 15 points in 35 minutes of the Chicago Bulls' Game 5 loss to the Miami Heat, and he knows he likely does not have a future with the organization.

The Bulls will buy out Hamilton for $1 million this offseason.

Hamilton has said he hopes to play two more seasons.

"Even though the last two weeks have been hard, my teammates have been great," Hamilton said. "They were so supportive of me and dumbfounded by the situation. They kept me going."
