If only he could've knocked down wide-open shots more often and been less of a momentum-killer, he might've stayed, but things don't always go your way.

Just a few things I've heard here the past few days:

If we get Nick Young, we're winning the championship.

We lost Metta? Damn it we're not contending anymore.

Sad thing is you would hope that both of these statements were clear sarcasm, but they weren't.

i want what they're smoking lol.

yup thats good stuff..

on second thought......this is definitely mike d'antoni's year....

.......to get fired

Abdul-Jabbar told the San Francisco Chronicle last month he met Howard only once and that Howard expressed an interest in learning from the former Lakers captain but he never again reached out to Abdul-Jabbar.

‘He’s charming, he’s charismatic, very nice young man,’ Abdul-Jabbar said. ‘Maturity-wise, he doesn’t get it.’

It's sad to see him go.  but we needed to move on from Metta he wasn't producing and he wasn't a defensive specialist anymore and can't stay in front of players like he used to... he did have quick hands and got a lot of steals... but he didn't flow with the offense and wasn't consistent AT ALL on both sides of the ball... he will be missed and I truly appreciate him I wish him the best of luck

Thank god. He sucks so badly. He can't dribble anymore.. He takes horrible lanes to the hoop. He shoots at the worst times.. He destroys any momentum we get in a game.. But with all that said.. I miss that dude.. Should be on the lakers staff in the future

Yeah, that's the one problem. D'Antoni probably wouldn't be too happy or thrilled about his seriously shaky jumper to say the least.

^ Really? You think Pop would want a guy in his system considering his position as well that can't hit a wide open outside shot more often than not to save his life?
