Filming starts this Fall

A remake of the original film set for release in 2013 is currently in pre-production. The film is directed by Brazillian filmmaker José Padilha and will star Joel Kinnaman in the title role, with Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Hugh Laurie co-starring in supporting roles. In July 2012, a viral website for the fictional OmniCorp was opened to promote the film.

Wow, this looks like it could be pretty awesome, especially considering some of those cast members mentioned, particularly Gary Oldman, Samuel L., & Hugh Laurie. Don't know anything about the lead guy, but those other dudes lend some credibility imo.

Same thing I was thinking and the teaser really keeps with the whole theme of the commercials in the old robo

i have seen all Robo Cop moves unfortunately. This one looks real good though.

At least they are doing good remakes. It's been a long time since there has been anything new, but as I said, at least it looks good.

Movies always look bad from set photos. Look at Thor, amazing spiderman, man of steel, iron man
