Some of you guys are just desperate why don't we sign Gary Payton since we need a big man or sign Greg Ostertag he has to be old enough to play with the lakers now.... Lol trade away players for some draft picks and clear some cap and keep our young good CHEAP talent and let them develop... I wanna see how good Darius Morris becomes after being under Steve Nash's wing though...

The dude is still nearly a 20 ppg scorer and some people don't want him?

I'd be ecstatic if got Antawn.

Totally agree. Also, he is a perfect FIT.

If we could land Jamison and resign Hill, i think we should consider moving Pau. Pau perhaps could land us Igoudala...

Everyone is talking about stretch 4 and how he can score in 13 minutes of play. What about DEFENDING?? Do you know what kind of streak the oppsosition can go on in 4 minutes with a very weak defender on the floor?? He wasn't great at defense in his youth. I mean C'Mon guys. He has a great name but his days are over just like MOST 35+ year olds

If he does come here next season he will be backing up Pau at PF and the Lakers will be looking to move Josh for a 2nd round pick or trade x.

A stretch 4?? SIgn him up. People saying he is bad an stuff have to realize his game has suffered from his role of 30+ mins in addition to his age. He isnt gonna be getting those type of mins here which will allow him to be for effective when he is on the court instead of running his body down. Same goes for hill that people say he is old. Yea he is old, but was starting last season and wasnt that bad. Now he is gonna get the knee surgery that kobe had and as a bench role he will be able to contribute and be effective with a reduce in mins allowing for him to be more fresh.

So after 35 your skills get better just because you play less minutes??? Especially Defense?? Ask MJ about that when he tried to guard AI

I hate how people hate on players like Antawn Jamison because of his age but they don't understand the fact that he himself is better than our entire bench...
McBob or Antawn Jamison??? Its a no brainer, and also we don't have many options. Not many people of his skill set are affordable. VET MIN.

no, when you play less minutes, you obviously don't get as tired, so you can come off the bench with more energy, and contribute better, like being able to play better defense, rebound harder, etc.

He would be a bench player who would get way better looks playing with the lakers and Steve Nash than the cavs.

It doesn't hurt having another savy vet who comes to your team desperately wanting a ring. It can only help the lakers.
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."

Antwan' jamison was 421-1044 from the field last year and was the tenth in the NBA in Field goal attempts... The guy was horrible and played a good amount of minutes and was still ineffective but you guys want this bum on our team when he won't get those kind of shot attempts and minutes he would prolly be worst than troy Murphy.... And he lost his starting position to the rookie Tristan Thompson mid season.... Dude is TRASH.

He won't play major minutes with the lakers. He is a bench player here.

Cavs should be playing their young players. They are in rebuilding mode.

I'm guessing you didn't watch a single Cavs game last season. Jamison started 65 games last year, Thompson filled in at the 5 after Varejao got surgery. Judging a player off stats alone doesn't add much to your argument, at all.

nash is running the team now....he makes players play better around him,

plus he's coming from the bench and couldn't possibly shoot that much without repercussions

seriously, our bench is so terrible, anyone else helps

No!! When you're old it takes you longer to get into a rythm. And by the way, most players (especially old players) don't play harder because of low minutes. Players play how they play. Maybe a little harder in the playoffs but thats about it. Either you're an energy guy or you're not. Jamison is not. Let's not forget, he wasn't great on D when he was 25  If that the case we may as well get Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady

Antawn has been playing for scrubs teem for awhile now...
Golden State, Washington, Cavs (Not gonna count the 1 year in Dallas)

Anyways, I'm sure hes lost a bit motivation and desire being in teams that only know how to lose.
But with Nash, Kobe, and other great players around him, I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 10-8 or somewhere along those lines off the bench.

I'm sorry if you got players taking less shots than you and averaging 24 points a game your trash.... And say he plays better offensively here... His defense is still terrible... We need GREAT DEFENDERS that Steve Nash can make better on offense...

And how was his defense?? I watched the Cavs alot because I was a Sessions fan. WE NEED ACTIVE BODIES!!! Whenever you guys get all excited about a NAME, keep OKC, Miami, Denver and Clippers in mind. And let's not forget that win or lose Memphis gives us fits
