What about this one:

Lakers get: Deron Williams, Anthony Morrow
Why? Because we get D-Will and can try to make a run at Howard with Bynum. Morrow is a nice backup wing who really can shoot (career .426 3pt%).

Grizzlies get: Pau Gasol, Gerald Wallace
Why? Right now Memphis have too much salary going out (60 million to just 4 players through the 2014/15 season), which wont fly in a small market. This trade saves them A LOT of money, and replace a PF and a SF with two players of (almost) equal quality.

Nets get: Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay, Sessions
Why? With Deron possibly opting out, Brooklyn needs someone else than Kris Humphries and Brook Lopez when they move into Brooklyn, if they want to develop their fan base that is. This trade could easily push them into the playoffs and if they re-sign Lopez as well they could have a really strong, young team going forward. They would have a lot of young offensive firepower in Z-Bo, Lopez, Gay and Brooks, and Sessions can really dish. With the right coach this team could contend right away.

What ya think?

Grizzlies wont be saving much

lose
rudy gay-16,460,532
Zach Randolph - $16,500,000
=
33 mill

gain -
pau gasol - $19,000,000
Gerald wallace -last years was 9.5 so I'm gonna say 10 mill with a S&T
29 mill

So there saving 4 mill. Not really enough to scrap your team and lose 2 of your best players.

Also I might be wrong but I dont think you can do this trade. We would be getting back around 22 mill of players which would not be in the 125% trade limit. I believe thats as far as you can be with the trade.

Pau has two years left on his contract, Wallace has 1 with a player option this summer, which he has exercized. This means they would have to re-sign him, which they want to do. He would probably get a longer deal - maybe 3 years 25 million or something.
Both Zach and Gay has 3 years and a combined 105 million left on their contract - two of which are in the new luxury-tax system, which is expensive. This trade gives them options, without sacrificing a whole lot.

I think it works out:

Lakers salary out: Pau and Sessions 18.7 + 4.3 = 23
Lakers salary in: Deron and Morrow = 16.4 + 4 = 20.4

Memphis salary out: Zach and Gay 15.2 + 15 = 30.2
Memphis salary in: 18.7 + 9.5 = 28.2

Brooklyn salary out: DWill, Wallace and Morrow = 16.4 + 9.5 + 4 = 29.9
Brooklyn salary in: 15.2 + 15 + 4.3 = 34.5

Oh, and by the way: I know that i am quite the basketball-nerd - just like most other people on this forum. :)

I like it. Now that we're hearing Memphis is interested in Gasol, sending Rudy Gay and another piece to Nets would help them, then send D Will to LA. Perfect!
