This is probably not the best we can get for Pau Gasol. I think better deals can be found in Houston, Minny and Toronto, but if nothing happens there, this would be a deal that addresses needs and saves money, and i think Golden State would do it in a heartbeat.

David Lee and Dorrell Wright and the 30th pick in the draft for Pau Gasol.

Why Golden State does it: Jerrry West loves Pau, who would form a formidable frontcourt with Bogut. With Curry, Klay Thompson and the 7th pick they should be strong going forward.

Why Lakers does it: David Lee is actually a better fit alongside Bynum (or Howard) than Gasol is, and Dorrell Wright is a solid 3-pt shooter (led the league in 3s made last year) at the 3, which we REALLY need. This year's draft is quite deep, so perhaps we can get a solid player who can contribute. Finally we save some money.
