Didn't watch the clip. But i heard they're also getting rid of unlimited data for customers who currently still have it(from signing their contract before Verizon got rid of unlimited data).

I still have unlimited 3G and was hoping i could grandfather my old plan into a new unlimited 4G contract, but it looks like it won't happen.

Basically a nice big F U to the customer. Customer satisfaction guaranteed indeed.

Unlimited ends on the 28 of this month so I'm in a rush to upgrade & keep my current unlimited plan.

I can't upgrade for a few more months. This sucks.

Eventually every carrier will get rid of unlimited too btw. It was only a matter of time before Verizon did it too. They see the other guys making all kinds of money over-charging for data, and they're like "Why not us?". Smh.

I'm actually eligible for an upgrade as of 7/7/2012. Looks like i'm barely missing the deadline.

Not having a laptop, and the wi-fi at my house being slower than my 3G, i'm on my Droid 2 for pretty much everything internet related. Facebook, Netflix, Youtube, News, Directions, LAKER NEWS. I consume anywhere from 8GB to like 12-13GB sometimes. All for $30.

So far this month i'm @ 5.1GB.

Sprint will always have Unlimited unless they somehow can take the 2nd or 1st carrier spot which I doubt they will. Luckily for me I got mad fast internet on home and my work supplies wifi too.

EVERY unlimited plan will be gone. Even if you already have it from a previous contract.

I'm leaving for Sprint anyways.

That's tough. You consider paying full price for a new phone in order to keep your unlimited?

Spoke to a Verizon rep on the phone yesterday when I was trying to upgrade & them a-holes act like the unlimited going away is a rumor.

I'm in the same situation.

Looks like the deadline to re-new your contract(if you're eligible) and keep your unlimited data plan is June 28th.

I'm going to one of their stores before that date to see if they let me upgrade a few days before i'm eligible(about 10 days soon, i can re-new as of 7/7.)

Yes, unless you renew your contract(if you're eligible) before June 28th, 2012.

Or you can hope enough customers complain and they push back that date a bit or get rid of it completely. I doubt it though.
