Kobe was def hyped and was the NBA's golden boy but he was never hyped to the levels of Lebron, no player has been hyped up as much as Lebron before their first championship.

That is true. But it is because the nba has seen Kobe's beforw physically. 6'6" 200lbs isn't something that automatically captures eyes of analysts

But 6'8" 250lbs and runs and jumps with the best in the nba. That was new

Just like Michael being able to hang in mid air and dunk on everyone captured imaginations

Lebron is unique and that's where the hype comes from

KD is something new physically and skill wise and he doesn't get hyped to the levels Lebrons received in the past 8 or 9 years.

But even if thats true it's still annoying to me hearing the things some ppl say like Lebron will be the best to ever lace em up and he's already in the discussion with Kobe and Jordan career wise.

It was easy to get behind the Thunder wave. They knocked off the titans of the west, the Heat were struggling with Indiana and Boston, and more importantly James Harden was playing like the sixth man of the year. Kevin Durant had a monster 4th quarter in game 1, and I think people got caught up in the moment and prematurely crowned him before Lebron and the Heat had a chance to respond. After that game, with the exception of tonight because his numbers were solid, Durant wasn't that impressive in the 4th quarter. His performances were disappointing. Couldn't even get open when Westbrook looked to get him the ball.

Westbrook is actually the one who left the Finals with his best game ever. I knew Durant wouldn't get any blame because he is humble, such a good kid, and Westbrook is the easy target, along with Scott Brooks (who honestly deserves some blame). But did Durant play like the superstar he is after game 1? Can't say that he did.

OKC wasn't ready, and it showed in crucial moments in the 4th quarter. 2-3-2 works in favor of the team with home court advantage if the home team is A) experienced and B) disciplined in close games. Once they lost game 4 you knew it was a wrap. The Thunder's isolation, one-on-one, offense, stupid execution, mistakes and sporadic defense ended their hopes of winning a ring.

Damn, did you guys see what LeBron did tonight?

121 PTS, 41 REB, 25 AST, 8 STL, 7 BLK

If you missed the game, well...just turn it on ESPN, and they will tell you how bad he crushed the Thunder.

Also, Lebron is the undisputed best player in the league now. He needed a ring to validate it and now it's complete. He is the best all-around player in the game.

But for this game tonight, (and game 4) Miami won because of their role players hitting 3's and playing out of their [expletive]ing minds. Mario Chalmers scoring 24 points in game 4, and Mike Miller hitting 7 3's. Mike Miller did this in the clinching game of the finals. I'd call it the most shocking Finals performance since Ron Artest's game 7. Nobody saw it coming. Norris Cole was an afterthought and even he contributed as a rookie.

I hear analysts left and right say Kevin Durant will be the greatest scorer the game has ever seen

The media jumps to conclusions because that's what gets ratings

They really need to take a scroll back in time, because they are forgetting there history of basketball, and how great these players were at their time. Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Shaquille O'Neal, Oscar Robertson, Julius Erving, Bill Russell, and I can keep going on and on, they say Lebron is better and/or on the same level as these all time greats ( I kno they didn't say he was better then some of these players but if they say he was better and/or on the same level of Michael Jordan then you most be talking about these guys too). I may be only 19 years old but I know my history and how great these players were and he is not even close, he has a long way to go to become one of the all time greats to me.

Yea he does get hyped too I know that but I don't hear too much ppl say he'll be the best scorer ever a lot of ppl say he's the best scorer now and that he'll be the best player in the league.

Its actually hard to really define who the best player of all time is. Diffrent eras had strengths and weaknesses.

The whole best player thing is all relative thats why I try not to get into that and ranking players in order like how can you really say someone is the 11th best player ever?

I think Magic and Bird were equals

But yea there's times when a guy plays at a level consistently higher than everyone in the league then you can say he's the best at that time, but to rank players in order is kinda stupid when you think about it.

I think there is a few greats not definative great. People say Mj because they grew up watching him his air jordan etc. My uncle swears the best player to play in the NBA is Wilt because of his records.

Top 10. I don't even know if I can stick it in the top five, because Jordan has 3-4 of those. Magic has one, Bird has one. Shaq put up nearly 40 a game (38 PPG, 17 RPG). Am I leaving out anything before the 80's?

What about Duncan in 03? 24 points, 17 rebounds. 5 assists. 5 blocks

I think its Wilt. He couldn't shoot free throws otherwise he did it all. I remember Bill Russell saying that if they had kept track of blocks per game Wilt would easily average 6 a game
