i was making fun of you because you not only put new jersey in there but you said to go play with lebron as if to say

i know laker fans hate lebron so i'll scare them by saying bynum will go to play with lebron

i love lebron but i was simply making fun of your useless example that was simply a cheesy scare tactic when the fact of the matter is andrew bynum will be a laker for the forseeable future

It's not a scare tactic at all. It's a fact. Bynum's from New Jersey. New Jersey is rebuilding. They're looking to get LeBron. They'll look for a second star. Bynum would be perfect.

Just connect the dots. It's not very complex.

Well it's not gonna be New Jersey anymore, but yea, Lebron is definitely going to the Brooklyn Nets and Bynum wouldn't mind going there with him if they want to pay him and the Lakers didn't.

It ain't gonna happen though of course

I think Bynum deserves the max if he were healthy. But that knee is a serious issue to me considering the swelling. Buss is probably afraid to invest in that much money not knowing if Bynum is going to be back to normal.

LA Times: Bynum's agent, David Lee, reportedly is seeking a five-year extension worth an estimated $17 million a year, while the Lakers are more comfortable paying Bynum about $10 million a year.

I have a proposal

Resigned Bynum at 15 million a year and Odom for 10 million a year

to Cleveland

For LeBron James and filler

Bynum will turn into one of these two players:

1. A solid player who averages 14 and 10 for the rest of his career.

2. An NBA Superstar.

You have to decide, is it worth giving him the max if he only turns into the 1st option?

cleveland would never deal lebron even if they know hes new york bound

if they trade him prior to his departure the fans will be pissed at the cavs because they still think lebron loves cleveland

if they let lebron walk they save face and lebron gets all the blame

besides cleveland would ask for no less than bynum+gasol

most likely though they ask for kobe and gasol

while i would never do that trade ever

bynum
odom
lebron
sasha
fisher

isn't that bad is it?

i love kobe and still think hes the best in the league but i would think more than once about that

You've officially turned this thread from a Bynum's contract one, into a LeBron trade talk one..

I also would think about that deal, but reject it. Kobe and Gasol provide more firepower than just LeBron.

I would do that deal but Cavs wouldln't

you trade a franchise player and potential hall of famer for bynum who has not proved anything at all as is and just reported knee swelling and lamar who has been nothing but inconsistent his whole career

cavs say 100% no

The Cavs say NO if they have the upperhand

The Cavs say YES when LeBron threatens to walk out leaving the cavs empty handed

The Cavs are not going ANYWHERE with their current roster. LeBron is either going to walk out, or there will be a sign and trade. I believe the Cavs would wise up and trade LeBron to a big market team, where he'd be able to contend right away.

What does LeBron have anything to do with Bynum and David Lee?

Please get back on topic... make a new topic if you want to discuss a trade between the Cavs and Lakers.

Sorry, it came out of the ridiculous price tag of 17 million. I'm all for 14-15, but 17 is really pushing it.

I agree about 17 being ridiculous. But, if we don't pay that, someone else gladly will.

David Lee AKA Gumby must not know the CBA because Bynum can't get $17 million per year.

The Lakers should give Bynum a 5 year, $60 million extension and allow him to earn more money with incentives in his contract.

The Lakers should add incentives like playing over 60 games, winning a championship, making an all star team, making the 1st or 2nd NBA team, ect...

Instead of making $60 million for 5 years, he can make over $75-80 million, but he needs to earn it.
