Can We Win?: With all of the high expectations, here are some things that worry me about this year.

I dont wanna be negative or jynx the Lakers but im getting a weird vibe from this team. The Talent is there no question, but will everyone mesh. Will Drew be able to play alongside Pau, Will Drew mesh with the rest of the team, Will LO be able to come off the bench, Will he be able to play point?, Will he be traded causing more adjustments, If we suffer a injury will our bench be strong enough to contribute. Is Our bench worse then last years ?, Will Our Defense show up, Will Phils Health BE OK. Will the Olympics have a impact on Kobes Play, Will his Pinky?. Is there more competition in the west this year?, Can we win the championship? Can We Win?

Just some worries I have, Trust me Im a hardcore Laker fan who prays the Lakers can win the championship this year, Just wondering if any of you share these worries,

I was just thinking about this the other day as well. After watching these preseason games, it brought up even more concerns. Even though I kept telling myself that this is only preseason, it still makes me wonder about this. Let's just hope everything does work out by the time the season starts.

I bel;ieve the lakers only have to larn to control tempo, which they already know how o do, but the second unit needs work on that particular area. other than that, teams cant keep up with us on offfense, but sometimes we have to wait for our BIGS

I think they need time, I think many people expected Bynum and Pau working together to play well from the first day, but it's going to take some time, and I am confident they will work it out.
If everyone stays healthy, we should be better than last year.

we're only halfway thru preseason lol of course they're gonna be rusty

we haven't given major minutes to our best players and most of the preseason is about seeing which lineups work and what scrubs will be included in the 15 man roster

agreedd. sure it may have just only been preseason games and all, but heck it doesnt matter to me. im still a bit worried, but then again im worried every season. thats how it always is when season is starting. and dependin on how the team does, the anxiety either goes up or down.

the team has been playing fine recently. I think it will continue these next upcoming games an then they'll be ready for the season.

I'll reserve judgment for the first 10-15 games and see what I think about the squad. What really concerns me is what Jerry West said awhile back about how he didn't think Gasol+Bynum on the court would work very well. I trust the man, and I think he's a basketball genius, which is why that is the only real concern I've got is how those two are going to develop together.

Pre-season is pre-season, and I wouldn't waste time worrying about the team until the regular season starts.

Believe me when I say this though, when the season starts, this Laker team will do a lot of damage even if Gasol and Bynum are struggling together.

to be honest only one thing worries me

INJURIES

the only thing i can hold on to is if we had mass injuries we have our 1st round pick this year so at least we'd have a nice rookie or trade coming our way

but there is something about title favorites that worries me

every time teams lose the title people think they are favorites next year but get struck by injuries

i am so nervous

god i will take an 8th seed but i want the lakers to have a full team healthy to mesh all year because a healthy, meshed, laker team is unstoppable home court advantage or not

after seeing tonight's game vs. Raptors?

NOT WORRIED ONE BIT.

The team's coming along.

Last year, this team didn't wake up until the 2nd game of the season.

I think we're gonna start rolling earlier this season.

I'm loving the line up of:

Fisher-Kobe-Radman-Gasol-Bynum

and

Farmar-Ariza-Walton-Odom-Mihm

imagine... throw Sasha in there and Powell, MAN we are SCARY!

I'm not worried at all. It's every other team in the NBA that should be worrying.

I miss being hated on and then suprissing people.

This year EVERYBODY expects us to do well, so there really is nowhere to go but down.

This was even true of the 2000 Lakers. Hopes were so high you couldn't even enjoy the ride becaue if they didn't win 60+ they seemed to under achieve.

To me it's all about how you perceive it. I don't care what the media says about the Lakers' chances, all I care about is that they win games. I won't allow them to dictate how I think about the team.
