Von Wafer waived and the first of a number of players with partial/non-guaranteed deals. Such players can be viable trade assets (unlikely option years – team, player, early-term) including Lamar Odom, Samuel Dalembert, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis and a number of others.

For instance a team can trade for someone like Brad Miller and cut him outright for $600k. He’s retiring anyway and if the Wolves will take on an unneeded player with a multi-year deal that works for them? That sort of thing . . .

I also rank the top eight playoff teams – Spurs easily #1.
