I believe he said it in his exit interview. I have yet to watch it, but my wife just told me. Mitch could just be saying/doing things for leverage.

Mitch Kupchak indicates that the Lakers will pick up the option on Andrew Bynum's contract for next season.

Picking up the option doesn't mean he's safe, neither is Sessions. Both would be dealt if the right deal came along. The only person who is 100% safe is Kobe Bryant.

Doesn't mean anything....

We would be nuts to not pick up Bynum's option.

Doesn't mean they are here to stay.

The Lakers would be dumb not to pick up the contract. As for Sessions, it was said by Sessions yesterday that it sounded like the Lakers were interested in bringing him back.

If you could change the title, then please do so. Very misleading.

Just change it for him. It's better for everyone and you have the powers to do so.

When you have a 34 year old player making 30 million a year with a no trade clause you can safely presume you are untradeable.
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."

When you have a 34 year old player, that's brought this team 5 banners, makes the team millions of dollars and is a top 5 player of all time, making 30 million a year with a no trade clause you can safely presume you are untradeable.

Does the amnesty clause apply to Bryant?
