Picking up the option doesn't mean he's safe, neither is Sessions. Both would be dealt if the right deal came along. The only person who is 100% safe is Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers would be dumb not to pick up the contract. As for Sessions, it was said by Sessions yesterday that it sounded like the Lakers were interested in bringing him back.
