I CAN wait...we have no picks - I don't care.

Well the draft lottery will have a direct impact on our off-season plans.

With Lakers S/T for D-Will, source said the Nets would not do that deal for Pau Gasol. Would rather have cap space.

In conclusion, the Nets would not directly trade with the Lakers.

It just means that there should be a third team that is willing to give up young pieces to the Nets in order for the Nets to trade Williams to the Lakers.

Don't worry, MDI

I remembered that

I'm just saying that the tweet is kinda misleading. It just says that the Nets would not trade Williams straight up for Gasol.

Lowry is now available. Could be possible Houston is willing to let him go since he is unhappy in Houston. Main pieces could be built around Lowry heading to NJ, Gasol to Hou, and Deron to LAL

Or do a 3 team trade with Houston where we send Gasol to Houston and whatever we get back we send to NJ for Deron and humphries.

Yes it is very possible he could be traded.

In my opinion, the Rockets would have to include some draft picks in order to entice the Nets.

They wont want that they want to free up cap space. Josh smith has a 13 mill contract. They probably would want a few mediocre player then rebuild.

Josh Smith is an All star type player. Hes one of the most exciting players in the league and hes very young. Brooklyn is a brand new team moving to a brand new city, Im pretty sure they'd rather have a young all star player who's very entertaining to watch rather than be mediocre or have aging stars

And Im just telling you Smith is worth the contract. Hes an All Star type player while Pau is declining fast as he's aging. If you had to choose between A) No Deron Williams or 2) Have Pau Gasol or 3) Have Josh Smith they'll take option 3 because it works. 1 and 2 doesnt help the franchise moving forward

Josh smith is not just a 13 million dollar contract. He's a 26 year old going into his prime all star with a 13 million dollar contract

Big difference

Read it again. They would rather have cap space than take on pau gasol

Much different statement than the nets only want cap space.

Nets would gladly take on a contract if its a young player

I put this in the Minnesota wants Pau Gasol thread, but maybe a 3 team deal with Pau going to Minnesota, D Will coming to L.A. and Derrick Williams and others going to New Jersey. Not sure if that even works, but it would be nice.

If Lakers can get Deron first, expect Dwight to be a Laker after that. It's the same situation as last season with CP3. The Lakers knew if they could get Paul, Dwight would be next

The would be a big if though. In my opinion, the Howard trade scenario is more likely to happen than the Williams scenario.

At least in Orlando case, they are ready to trade Howard. In the Nets case, they are not even sure on whether or not they will trade Williams or just let him walk.

With all that being said, Can't wait until the Draft begins

I think it would be stupid to let him walk because you would be in a bigger market comepting with the Knicks and no marketable player. Then again it would also be dumb to trade Derron for Pau considering his contract. They would have to get a superstar type player back to market.

Could be the another way around also if Lakers land Dwight first why in the world would Deron even stay in Brooklyn? As long as Lakers land of these guys the other will follow.
