First off, according to the Trade Machine we'd lose 6 wins but I don't know... Getting Monta Ellis (a gunner) would be, in my mind, beneficial for our team. Monta could realistically carry the offense with the second unit or whenever Kobe and Bynum are resting (something Pau has shown that he can no longer accomplish for our Lakers).

Getting Ekpe Udoh also doesn't hurt - young, athletic shot-blockers always help.

I would love this to go down providing we resign Sessions AND Jordan Hill.

Starters would be:

C Andrew Bynum
PF Jordan Hill
SF Metta World Peace
SG Kobe Bryant
PG Monta Ellis
6 Ramon Sessions
7 Ekpe Udoh
8 Steve Blake
9 Josh McRoberts
10 Andrew Goudelock
11 Devin Ebanks
12 Christian Eyenga
13 Darius Morris

Monta Ellis can play the point (and play it better than ANY of the PGs we've had lately) so I don't know what you two are scoffing at

He will just shoot the ball the second he gets in range. PG's can't be selfish

No, he won't; Especially not in LA

Westbrook and Rose are "selfish" PGs. Ellis is a two that can play the one. and again, it would be a VAST upgrade over what we have

Pau Gasol is GONE

I'm confident that Monta will fall in line with Kobe sharing the backcourt. The fact remains that we need to have athleticism AND explosiveness in the backcourt. OKC has a shoot first PG, so do the Bulls. OK, I concede comparing Monta to Westbrook and D.Rose is a HUGE HUGE stretch but at least we'd get somebody with cajones to attack! With my proposed line-up, we'd still have enough hustle bigmen to rebound (Hill,McRoberts and Udoh).

Alright I concede I think that might work but mcbob must go and we should get Beasley. I think our bench would drastically improve then. also should get rid of ebanks and murphy and see if its possible if we could get jason terry(I know it would be hard). I get a little worried though with hill starting. He has absolutely no offensive skill. So maybe start Beasley and have hill come off the bench. So heres my line up then.

monta 1
kobe 2
artest3
Beasley 4
bynum 5

bench
terry 6
hill 7
Udoh 8
blake/ sessions depends on who is still here if either of them are.

rest are fill ins

How many times do I have to say it, Beasley can not play the 4 any more he's a 3, unless we go small in rotations.

Not bad but I think having Hill start would be essential to maintaining our rebounding egde. I'd rather bring Beasley of the bench.

Love the Monta Ellis idea though, he's a shooting guard that once played and can still play point guard. He showed that he can share the ball too and a good passer. Monta ellis is really an underrated all star. And another player who is one of the most gifted scorers in the game. 20.4 Points 6.0 assists this year.
