Kendrick Lamar has to lot to be proud of at the moment. His new good kid, m.A.A.d cityalbum is projected to sell between 225-240K its first week out, which will be good enough to claim the No. 2 spot on Billboard according to early sales projections fromHitsDailyDouble.
In most other weeks good kid, m.A.A.d city would top the charts, but it happened to come out the same week as Taylor Swift's monster fourth studio album, Red.
Red is projected to sell between 1.1-1.2 million copies. That number could surpass the1.124 million sold by the entire Top 10 from the corresponding week last year; for the week ending 10/30/11. It could also push it's way past Lady Gaga's Born This Way 1st week tally of 1.1 million.

I can see what you mean, K Dot's isn't as good as Section.80 but I'd still give it a 4/5. J Cole was more of a 3.5/5 to me after a few listens.
I think for with both guys I had extremely high expectations for both albums so they were both kind of let downs to me, I do think Kendricks is better than Cole though. But for the most part it's not something that I want to listen to often. Plus I really don't like when he sings with that weird voice that sounds like it's two voices at once with one being prerecorded. I still think Kendrick's nice though just not in love with this album like I hoped I'd be.
A little off topic but I was extremely let down by that Good music cruel summer album, I didn't really have sky expectations but I was expecting a lot better considering how much I loved WTT, MBDTF, and all those Good Friday tracks.

Well those were Kanye based tracks and albums. Even WTT Kanye basically did like 75% of the work
