Jay Cutler is on Fox Sports Net's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" tonight, during which he will say this about his relationship with Philip Rivers:

“We’re not best of friends. We don’t really have a lot of contact with each other. It’s become a nice rivalry. We’re both younger guys and both on pretty good teams in the same division and get to see each other twice. I’m just not that big of a fan of the guy... I don’t like how he carries himself. I don’t like some of the stuff he does on the field.”

I don't usually like to make a big deal out of these kinds of things. But something about Jay Cutler saying this struck me as odd. Has anyone ever seen how Cutler carries himself? That dude is cocky. I don't mind that, but I think it's odd he has an issue with Rivers.

I think the bottom line is either one of these guys, if they're on your team you like them and if they're on another team, you don't.

"Best Damn" airs at 9 and 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Its cool though, Rivers plays amazing and his a great QB. So it doesn't really matter.

Rivers is an amazing QB?!?!?! Hahaha...that's absolutely ridiculous. He has the best RB in the game (maybe this is the year he really begins the decline though), a great defense, good receivers, a good to great line. He's average at best.

Rivers is the most overrated QB in the league, he sucks donkey balls. I'll take Cutler, Russell and Quinn before him. Overrated mofo. I hate him. He has the best RB best receivers and everything.

Cutler over Rivers without a doubt. I think Cutler is going to be a good QB for years to come. I do think Quinn will be better in the longterm though.

Since you're really a Rivers fan, you should check out the numbers. Cutler is the better QB by the numbers.

cutler is a better QB, more athletic, 10 times the arm

cutler has carried his teams offensively at every level

Has anyone noticed how Rivers throws? Its like a girl or someone throwing with their opposite hand. It's the weirdest throwing style of any starting quarterback.

As a Jake Plummer fan, I can't say I like Cutler. I actually want him to fail as a Bronco so all those expectations disappear. But Rivers pissed me off when I first saw him.

The first time I saw Rivers, it was the last game of the 2005 season, Broncos-Chargers. It was a meaningless game for both teams as the Broncos had clinched the division and the Chargers were already eliminated. Drew Brees got hurt that game and Philip was playing. Late in the game, he threw an interception to Curome Cox. As Cox was returning the int., Rivers got to him, grabbed Cox's facemask with both hands, and ripped his head down. The commentator then said "Rivers has always been known as an emotional guy".

Since that incident, I've always had this loss of respect for Rivers.
