HE needs to shut up

"Close-out games are actually kind of easy," Bynum said. "Teams tend to fold if you come out and play hard in the beginning, so we want to come out and establish an early lead and protect it."

I understand you need to be confident and show some bravado but my god, he really needs to watch he says. "All Bark, and Bite when I feel like it." I hate his baby attitude. But when hes engaged he is a game changer. Show it today man.

haha. got em.

What he should have said was a close out game when you are up 3-0 or 3-1 is easy. Maybe then, he wouldn't sound so much like hes talking out of his ass. Its probably what he meant. Highly doubt his choice of words would be the same if it's 3-2 or 3-3. Make it look easy and dominate, then Ill give him a pass for this one.

Bynums a grown man. He can say whatever he wants.

Just when he says or does stuff like this. It just makes me go "cmon man, like really?" I know hel outgrow all of this eventually, but no I'm not a fan of his antics this season.

He's still a beast on the court, and thats what matters.

He has a point. The only ridiculous part of that statement I see is that he thinks the Lakers can protect a lead.

Max and Marcellus were talking about this earlier on the radio and brought up CP3's comments after last nights game where he said that close out games are tough and they need to be ready.

Here is the thing about CP3 and Bynum's comments:

Chris Paul knows how to deal with the media. Bynum doesn't. He doesn't know how to be politically correct. Right now, Bynum's biggest flaw is that he is too honest with the media.

People like to argue "Oh well Bynum's giving the Nuggets bulletin board material" Just shut up. Honestly, its the playoffs. If you need bulletin board material to motivate you to win a title, then you don't deserve it.

It's really not a big deal what Bynum said. At this point, Bynum's words and every move are under a microscope and people are looking for anything to criticize him because its easy to do.

And really he's right. In close out games, if teams go down early, they do tend to fold and give up. We've beaten teams like that and our own team has done that (look at the Mavericks game last year game 4 or vs the Celtics in the Finals a few years ago). Historically, commanding leads in a series whether its 3-0 or 3-1 result in blow out wins, especially when teams have the luxury of playing in front of their home crowd.

I must say we're pretty good at closing out games .. Drew is right. These games appear to be easy for us .. Unlike keeping a lead ..
