I dont even listen to the radio at all anymore, besides 1 station and its rare and its a classic 90s Hip-Hop station.

KDAY is the ONLY station I will ever listen to, even if commercials are on. My radio doesn't move from that channel

Previous generations never like the new music..Rock-n-roll was condemned..
kurtis blow sounds wack if u hear it today.
NY rap is what people perceive as the TRUE hip hop, but hip hop is nothing but the NEW BLACK MUSIC... some of it is poetical , some of it is Chanting, some of it is dance-based.
Radio isnt the only medium to hear hip hop. And YMCMB, Gucci, Waka etc arent the only type of rappers out there.
BUT IN ANY ERA... catchier/ more dance friendly music will SELL MORE
