I still can't believe steve blake was on the floor for so long. I am incredibly dumbfounded by such a decision. Words can not express my concern for mike brown's mental state.

Inexplicably, Steve Blake played all but a few seconds of the 4th quarter. Because he was sooooo effective out there.

Barnes should have been in halfway through the 4th, Blake gave us nothing on either end of the floor.

And Barnes did?

If you wonder why Blake was out there so long you look at the lineup. Kobe was brought back in at the 3, strictly because Barnes was giving us absolutely nothing this game and he needs to, and probably wouldn't have given us anything at the 2 either.

This is why I keep saying that Barnes is the one of the two(between him and Blake) that we need to have consistent good games, cause we don't have Ron.

if it was the other way around and we didn't have Sessions but had Ron then it would be Blake we needed to have a consistent good game more.

But it's not the case. This series is easy or hard depending on Barnes play as long as MWP is out.

We most likely weren't gonna sweep and Denver is a tough place to play. I'm glad we didn't back down and played better in the second half. Refs sucked as usual but no surprise there we'll have to deal with them again sunday. We'll get game 4

For all the talk about how good Bynum and Gasol are, the Lakers have been outrebounded in games 2 and 3 now. The rebounding battle wasn't even close in this game. Their defense was poor as well. Kobe can't keep forcing up shots like that. It allows for easy points on the transition.

Just a bad night all around. Just when you think the Lakers have it figured out, they come up with a clunker like this.

I always wish that blake would foul out of the game really early so that mike brown would play Goudelock. But now I am starting to think that brown would just end up sending 4 guys on the floor instead.

Better defensive matchup, he could at least keep up with his man and was not getting abused every time down the floor.

Blake did nothing on the defensive end, shot terribly for us, and we all know he's not going to give us much else because of how tentative he is on the floor. Seemingly 9/10 drives from Steve Blake turn into awkward passes or him picking up the dribble as soon as a defender steps in front of him.

Barnes energy would have been much preferred over Blake's "contributions" in the 4th.

No defense + chucking an assload of threes instead of playing through your strengths = loss.

Lakers killed themselves tonight with that ugly brickhouse of threes like they usually always do.

Yeah, Blake was awful. He gave the Lakers absolutely nothing. And, he a few really bad turnovers when I thought the Lakers might make a run.
