Synopsis:
Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes The Cabin in the Woods, a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.

Rottentomatoes 92% (Link): The Cabin in the Woods is an astonishing meta-feat, capable of being funny, strange, and scary -- frequently all at the same time.

Directed and written by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield, Alias, Buffy) and Joss Whedon.

Starring: Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford.

Word on the street is that the trailer spoils too much so watch at your own risk.

I had planned to see this when I first saw the preview a while back. Kinda lost interest...but it has been piqued again.

Seen it Saturday.
Obviously not your average horror movie.
Something never thought of but still thought the whole idea was kinda dumb IMO
But had a bunch of funny parts and killing scenes were good so I still give it a 7.5/10 for creativity.
only Kobe can stop Kobe.

Generally the regular population hates some really good horror films and flocks to some [expletive]ty ones so i would have to know her past preferences before I take that into account. I wasn't all that interested but my brother has been raving about it for a while now and 90 something percent on Rotten Tomatoes is pretty damn good.

Before I listen to what someone says is the worst, I'd like to know what they think is the best.

I can rattle off 100 horror films that are probably far worse than "Cabin In The Woods". I'd like to see it, just don't know if I'm up for paying $12 for it.

Even though I don't think this movie was that good, I can also name hundreds of other horror movies that were a lot worse.
I go to the movies a lot and I normally avoid horror movies these days because they simply aren't scary and usually are horrible.

This one had me guessing though and it was a different idea for a horror movie.

I would say check it out.

just saw it...definitely not as good as some people are claiming , acting was weak as [expletive], concept was there but script was just not right at all man..it was like a bad mix of saw, a sci-fi, vacancy, and a bunch of other stuff
