If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

It was an idiotic play no matter how he tries to spin it.

But I think Artest and Barnes wanted to be even more creative and made up their own plan on the fly to have Barnes meet the ball at the other end of the court to throw everyone off. Barnes was actually wide open and this is why Artest repeatedly yelled at the ref to give him the ball but the refs wouldn't because of something having to do with the Lakers bench or something. By this time Ron should have gave up on the free lance play and did what the coaching staff drew up but he had it in his mind to do it anyway. The pass was foolish but it's a good thing Jason Smith wasn't paying attention.
If you look at the reactions from the players, especially Barnes and Sessions, you can see that they were upset with Ron for throwing the pass.
Mike Brown even said in the interview that the play of the game was when Matt Barnes stole the ball with 1.2 seconds to go.

But, i know when the ball is closer to the basket, it is easier to score...
That pass was the craziest pass i have ever seen on any level of basketball...
Im talking YMCA, Street ball, elementry school, middle school, AAU, High School, College, NBA 2K....
That was just insane...
Can you imagine if the hornets stole the ball and scored?
Or the pass went out of bounds without barnes touching it?
Worse pass in the hitory of the NBA

Remember Mason's perfect chest pass to Reggie Miller for the game tying 3 in that famous "6 points in seconds" play?

On the last possession of the game, Mike Brown felt like making a play?
Also mathematically MWP is a dumbass.

Not the worst pass in NBA history.

He had to pass it in because the 5 seconds where up and Reggie pushed him down and he even said so in the EPSN documentary but he said the refs didnt call it so he kept playing. Mettas pass was the worse pass ever lol
