Loaded draft

Watch

Intresting to see what is said about players, and then knowing how they turned out

Sometimes it is fun to look back, and analyse the past, to try and project the future

Vitaly Politiko!

Nets talked of Taking Kobe... at 8... instead, Kerry Kittles... (lolz!)

Kerry Kittles
Lorenzen Wright
Samaki Walker
Vitaly Politikenko

Just look at those names drafted ahead of Kobe

At least Eric Dampier is skill kinda in the league...
Todd Fuller? yikes... That guy was out of the league so fast...
Camby is still playing
So is Ray allen...

But man...

Kittles over Kobe...

The 84', 96', and 03' drafts were the best draft classes ever.

Speaking of the 96' draft though. Its amazing to see all the players that were picked ahead of Kobe and a lot of them aren't even playing anymore and for those who are, they are either on their last legs or injured. Its really amazing to see Kobe still be able to play at a high level. His work ethic is impeccable.

Triple post? Lol but yea the story is Kobe's agent already made it known who he'd play for. The nets wanted him bad but were told he did not want to be there.

I like history... its over 2 hours... and i got to listen to parts multiple times, and watch certian things... got to check it out...

The language when they drafted fisher was great
"Lakers were having personal issues, wanted to draft a glue guy."
"Jerry West has an eye for talent"
"Lakers have been looking to make more trades then any other team"
"looking for a chemistry guy, a guy to smooth the waters"

Now...

The list of active NBA players from the 1996 NBA draft (in order of current NBA effectiveness in my opinion)

Kobe
Steve Nash
Ray Allen
Marcus Camby
jermaine oneil
Eric Dampier
Derek Fisher

Peda Stockavkic just retired as well as Big Z

Fisher outlasted Allen iverson... Starbury... it does mean something
