Why should Vlad? Ariza is a great defensive minded player who should be the starter if Odom comes off the bench imo.

Radmanovic starts because he's a shooter and can pull defenses out of the paint, where space will be limited between Bynum and Gasol.

I understand that, but if you're trying to improve your defensive tone to games Ariza should be your starter.

you can afford to start Radmanovic because then he can just stay on his man on the 3 point line and if the opposing player blows by him, we have the twin towers inside to send him packing

Ariza can't start because he has a horrible J. Why should he start over Vlad and Odom when they both have better J's? Vlad is a better starter because he can keep the defense honest with his J and he's trying to play defense this season.

Ariza is overrated by Laker fans. His D is overrated by Laker fans.

The ppl are there, starting isn't of top priority because rotations and certain scenarios will put different players on the court at the same time. That's why I say there's alot of flexibility with the current lineup we have, it doesn't matter who starts all 82 games. Of course, with biasness, Kobe starts all 82. =X

vlad starts .... why would we want ariza starting with the twin towers when they can just cheat off of ariza and play close to bynum or gasol, and then ill bet we'll see a whole bunch of complaints why bynum is getting stripped by help D when hes backing his opponent down .... thats not how the triangle works ... spacing matters .... ariza is a good defender, 2nd best perimeter defender on the team .... but dont overrate him because he gets that title by default, he has problems taking larger players than him .... such as paul pierce, artest, marion ... people close to his size or smaller he does great jobs on but a lot of lakers fans say hes ron artest"esque" which hes not
