Got my tix. I'm going Saturday.
Its my fav move of all time. But the movie is and will always be thee master piece all other movies are compared againts.
That aside I will judge the 3D effects and if it makes the movie better or not fairly.
But James Cameron said to make water into 3D each drop needed to be digitally converted individually to make it right. That there were teams dedicated just to the water.
So I'm looking forward to it and going in with a clear mind.
If the efx and #D element suck or are pointless it doesnt affect the original version as being the GOAT.

Yep. I have the DVD at home, and I've watched it here with surround sound + a flat screen which turned out wonderfully lolI don't see the point in paying movie theater prices for a movie that came out 15 years ago

There were times when the 3D made everything seem like it was really there.
But its not cheesy 3D effects like a horror movie where the knife comes out at you to startle you.
Its more about depth.
When you look at the movie screen it feels like your looking through a window at real life behind it.
The most awesome part was when Leo and Kate are on top of the back of the ship when its floating like a cork, as the ship plunges deeper into the water, the way he made the ocean look was violent. Like it was alive and eating the ship. I cant describe how it looked. It was just awesome. So real.
And When Kate is hanging off the back of the ship thinking about suicide the depth perception shows how far up she is from the surface. Its freakin high.
The 3D was the best and most high budget I have ever seen without a doubt.
But did that make the movie better?
At times yes it did. I really enjoyed it.
Titanic is the best movie ever to me. I've always loved it. And sometimes during the movie the 3D depth made the scenes so much more real, so much more honest that it intensified the emotions that I always had. Its almost like the 3D was a exclamation point on greatness.

The Ship Sinks

"Impossible is just a big word used by small men who find it easier to live the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, It's an opinion. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."
Impossible is "Basketball Reasons"
