I mean, if you're going to make a topic asking a question like this, at least give the rest of the forum your own opinion with an explanation. Wouldn't hurt you know.

Your knowledge of Laker coaching history is pretty shallow if you think he's the worst coach ever. My vote goes with Randy Pfund. Give Mike Brown at least one season with a camp before you rush to knee jerk judgment. Who is going to follow Phil that would've made everyone happy? Nobody. It's like following Chick. Coming after the greats isn't easy to do for a multitude of reasons, one of which being unrealistic expectations from the fans.

I fail to see why being 3rd in the West with a new system being integrated into a team used to one system for over a decade, no camp to learn the guys, the team or for them to learn him while trying to transition to a different style of team in order to keep with the league is somehow the result of the worst coach in Laker history.

No, I do not. I think people are jumping the gun here.

He may not be the worst of all-time..
But, he is the worst in the last 2 decades...

Only a few coaches would have the respect of Kobe...

Phil...
Larry Brown...
Rick Aldemen
Coach K from Duke
Pat Riley

Thats it...

Anyone eles it would have been a toss up...

Mike brown should be gone ASAP

Why Rick Aldemen?

Because of how we battled with the Kings during our 3 peat?

Not the worst in Lakers history, but he's an average coach at best.

That post just shows you have a hate for Mike Brown and will refuse to give him credit even if anything positive happens for this team.

As a result of that, this thread is worthless and your reasoning behind creating this topic was to hopefully create another Mike Brown hate thread.

But as Fido said, if you truly believe Brown is the worst coach in Lakers history, you have a very shallow knowledge of this franchise's history. He is far from being the worst coach and I'll say this, if anyone thought Brown was going to lead the Lakers back to prominence with all the factors surrounding this team, including a roster that is basically the same squad that got swept out of the playoffs last season, it's your knowledge of basketball that is lacking as well.

Let's see a season or 2 before we make judgement.

Third in the West for a team that went through a lot this season.

Yes or no?

You are taking this Bynum-bromance too far. Just because Bynum is getting put on blast doesn't make Brown a bad coach.

And yes, we're talking about a guy that has won Coach of the Year...

You want a thread IDEA? Is Bynum the worst Laker teammate ever? Maybe...

I didn't like del Harris because he would never give Kobe the minutes he deserved

Kobe was very young. Eddie Jones deserved those minutes imo
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."
