I never had a chance to see much of him in Cleveland and earlier in his career, but from what I've seen the past two games, I love this kid. He gets into the lane almost effortlessly, and everyone benefits. Bynum was getting the ball closer to the basket, shooters were wide open, and he even attracted a double team or two when Kobe, Pau, and Andrew were in the game! He did exactly what a point guard should do - he made the offense easier. I see him having a huge impact on this team, especially when he learns enough of the system to start (considering how good he looks after only a couple games, that shouldn't be long.)

It's an encouraging sign that he ended up playing more minutes and played at the end of the game. He played really well tonight, and outplayed Blake again.

Hopefully he's starting and playing a lot more minutes than Blake soon.

REALLY should've won this game if it weren't for Bynum and especially Kobe. A shame Ramon did so [expletive]in' fantastic and no win to show for. Those guys screwed his highlight performance. On the bright note though on point, man oh man was watching Sessions tonight such a dream. I can't tell you how happy and excited I was. I haven't felt that way in a long long time about a Laker player and understandably so, cause we haven't had a PG able to do the types of things that he does in a LONG TOO LONG time. I am glad too Mike Brown let him finish the game as well, although, Kobe had to [expletive] that up by basically making Sessions feel the pressure (as does everyone else) to just feed him the ball and get out of the way SMH.

Sessions was so aggressive last night. I have no complaints about his game yesterday.

I think now that Sessions is on a championship team and will start hopefully soon, that he can become not a top 10 PG in the league but maybe like a top 25-30 and if he stays in LA as a starter and gets more control of the game he can end up having a nice career like Van Exel, Bibby or Andre Miller. I think he can be very good if he wants to.

Two things: One, he's already easily a top 25-30 point guard in the league, if not arguably even more. Two, you say you think he can be very good? He's already VERY GOOD, just not GREAT, but he can potentially reach that as well (potentially).

Sessions will eventually be a 20ppg 10apg when he gets the offense down more.

20ppg is pushing it with the likes of kobe, gasol, and bynum on the same team

I'm assuming he can get to the FT line. He didn't have any FT's tonight in fact the entire team only took 13.

At the very least he should be able to average 15/8.

there were 2 anomalies in sessions stat line tonight... true he didn't shoot any freethrows, but dude also only missed one shot tonight

i still think 15 is a bit generous, but 8 assists sounds about right

I'd love to see better picks set for Sessions. When he was on a roll before halftime he was getting good solid screens and thriving off of them, but when he came in later, there were too many slip screens that weren't effective. Bynum kept on rolling too soon and we couldn't set up as easily as we did in the 1st half. A simple pick and roll can be pretty damn hard to stop with a legitimate PG. I hope the Lakers feature it more in the near future.

Lol what? Top 25-30 PG? We're not talking about Derek Fisher here. :hmm:
