Jordan Hill currently leads the NBA in offensive rebounding rate.  Just like last year.

If Jordan Hill played 35 mins he'd probably have rebound numbers that match up to Love's.

I'm glad D'antoni has a goal of getting him more minutes.   I like that Hill is the caviot of our small ball lineup.  So I don't mind that and that lineup is our BEST lineup, especially against another bench and when they get the momentum it doesn't matter if the other teams starters come back, the floodgates stay open lol.

But I think if he starts Hill, then we can't run that small ball lineup for an elongated time.

So it comes down to who will start, honestly Williams is like Sepholosha.   He only starts because of his defense but is only gonna play 15 mins a night lol

So I think what we CAN do is move Young to the 2, and Shawne Williams to the 3.  Then start Kaman and Gasol next to each other.

The problem with that is that then Blake is odd man out and he's a more reliable shooter than Young so that's the problem.

We're so good at so many areas that leaving an odd man out sucks X_X    Even when we make Williams the odd-man out he's a better defender than Kaman, but if we start Hill then we can't run small ball and fast with our bench because Hill needs rest and we aren't gonna run Kaman up and down the court.

See our dilemma?  lol

Hill played the entire 4th for the 3rd time in 4 games.

Closed out well and saved us from a horrid stretch from Gasol.

  1. D'Antoni on the crunch time lineup: "Jordan gives us that extra rebounding so that might be the way we go"

He plays him the entire 4th quarter and closes games with him.    That small ball lineup is also our best one.   I'd give him some more minutes though.  But nothing close to 30.  I'd say 17-20 is a nice starting point.

His worth is in the 4th in my opinion and D'Antoni is putting him in at the right times, plus he was out all last season. I think people are naive to expect him to be ready to play big minutes for 82 games

Mike Trudell@LakersReporter

Jordan Hill has been bothered by a sore right knee for a few weeks, so he took an MRI today. Result: bone bruise. He’ll play Tues. at DAL.

Had it for weeks apparently.

So much for everyone saying that Hill wasn't banged up.

He managed to find an important niche on our team and it doesn't require too many minutes.

You could tell just how much the energy dropped there for a while late in the 4th when MDA took him out. I would've left him in, but oh well. Still got the W thankfully.

yo.

6 points 4 rebounds 3 assists 2 blocks in 16 mins, his most mins of the season thus far, even did a good job bothering Dwight in the post.

Good job by Hill tonight!

Hill had a couple of crucial blocks last night.   And since we won by 1, they were EXTREMELY crucial.

Lately, Jordan is playing at  All-Star level and if he continue that way, we will have a very solid and young big man for our future team. Rebounding is still his strength, but his shooting is a lot better this year. All he needs to learn is to not take silly fouls and to stay away of foul troubles. Longer he stays on the floor, better for the entire team. I expect him to continue to grow and to become a very important element for our team in the future. That trade - D.Fisher for Jordan Hill is the master-piece of M.Kupchak as a GM.
