That is if both Yao and T-Mac stay healthy which happens as often as fat man exercising and if Ron Artest can stay...normal.

What a BS trade man. The nerve of people to call out the Gasol trade? At least Memphis got 2 nice young players and a nice expiring contract. What did Sacramento get? A draft pick that might be as high as 25th, some nobody, and Bobby freakin Jackson?
Seriously, and a NICE expiring Contract.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed

HOUSTON (AP)—The Houston Rockets are close to an agreement to acquire Ron Artest from the Sacramento Kings, two people familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.
The Rockets will give up guard Bobby Jackson, who played for the Kings from 2000-05, and another player—likely rookie forward Donte Greene, according to two NBA people who confirmed the deal, but spoke on condition of anonymity because no official announcement had been made.

Emplay mentioned the Lakers hangup wasnt really taking a bad contract with Artest, but more a refusal to give up odom for him. If thats true, im seriously upset. Artest makes 1000X more sense for the lakers than odom. i woulda pulled the trigger in a heartbeat. (Odom for Artest and filler thats not terrible contracts.)
And that's why you are not the gm of any NBA team. And you further prove that you don't know what your talking about by showing you don't understand NBA rules.

Ron Artest may be joining Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming in Houston.
The Sacramento Kings have agreed to trade the talented but combustible forward to the Rockets, according to multiple reports, a move that could turn Houston into a legitimate NBA contender.
In return, the Kings will receive guard Bobby Jackson, a No. 1 draft pick next season and another player — probably rookie Donte' Greene.
The Houston Chronicle first reported the deal on its Web site Tuesday night, citing an anonymous NBA executive with knowledge of the agreement. The Associated Press later reported that two NBA sources confirmed the impending trade.
The Chronicle reported that the trade will not be announced until Aug. 14. Greene, the Rockets' first-round pick, is not permitted to be traded until then, one month from when he signed with Houston. The Rockets also will send the Kings more than $1 million in cash.
Artest, 28, is best known as the central figure in a brawl with fans in Auburn Hills, Mich., four seasons ago. The NBA suspended him for 73 games following that incident, and Artest has a history of illegal and erratic behavior.
