not happeningI think that trade would definitely help both teams. Yeah Melo is a superstar. But how much can he help when he doesn't fit in your offense whatsoever. We've seen how since he's come back they've lost something like 4-6 games. Gasol would flourish in Antoni's offense especially with Lin and Chandler would come off the bench but they would have a 3 big rotation between Amare, Pau, and Tyson. Plus we know Melo would be good in our offense, it's more his style. Yeah Kobe would have to share the ball more but as long as he's winning, I doubt he'd care.

I can just see Kobe saying "Gimme the [expletive]in ball" Melo, "Nah man you give me the [expletive]in ball".

I love Melo but right now I wouldn't call him a top 5, he's def been in that category for me in the past but he's had a down year.
Yeah. He's a scorer, but even his scoring is down this year. There are definitely more than five players with better numbers than him.

Why get Melo when we can get Beasley in the off-season. I mean, he has a similar playing style like Melo. He's a scorer, can play inside and out, but taller and younger than Melo. We need to make teams pay when they double team Bynum, Pau, and Kobe, And he can do just that.
I think Beasley would be a nice addition, but he is nowhere near as good as Melo.
