I would do the trade. People have to come to the realization that this current roster can't compete with younger athletic teams. Yes we lose gasol but we gain Martin who averages 20 a game. He can come off the bench behind Kobe. Dragic isn't a bad PG. He is a decent passer and a above average shooter. We could do alot worse. I would do the trade in a heartbeat.

I'd do it after exploring other options. Scola is a solid replacement for Pau. Martin would give the Lakers needed scoring at the wing. Dragic has shown signs that he can be a starting PG, although he isn't having a great season shooting the ball. He has normally been a good shooter throughout his career though. The first round pick could be a handy trade piece, or they could even use it themselves.

The only thing I don't like is Scola's contract. He's locked in for 4 years.

Houston feels like they can pair Lowry with Gasol, stick the necessary pieces around them, and make a decent little run. I won't comment on that...but just know that you probably won't see Lowry in any legitimate trade discussions.

Scola is a good but not great pf who would be a starter and would fill the hole that gasol would leave at the 4. Dragic is a decent pg who is young and he can't be worse than fish right? Plus the first round pick in a stacked draft class!! So we would have a total of 3 first round picks. And we can use one pick for sessions. Our lineup would look like this.

Kevin Martin off the bench would be frigging awesome. Scola isn't garbage. He can still ball. And Dragic is a feisty player who can do some real playmaking, and his shot isn't bad. And 1st round pick on top of all of this. I'd do this trade in a heartbeat.

This is the same trade that was proposed in the CP3 deal. Unless Lowry is included or another team is involved, the Lakers don't do this trade

I would do this is this stays on the table until the deadline.

Bring in the BEST PG we can get, and then trade Gasol for multiple good players.

Scola will be a starter at PF
Kobe/Martin at the SG will be amazing.
Blake-Fisher-Dragic would be a START at PG, and we will see where the mins go


Bynum would own the post, and Kobe and MWP would be the next 2 guys wanting to post up

Keep Dragic and try to upgrade at the PG...
If this offer is on the table, laker should look to see if they can get a Better package (good luck!)
I do not know how good Dragic is, but, ill take him at PG

G Lock isn't anymore inconsistant than Kobe. He's not good as Kobe but they shoot around the same percentage. If you put it in perspective, G-Lock plays every game and every practice with the pressure of staying on the team. Kevin Martin can play both guard positions which is cool though

Throw in a first rounder and might have a deal. Scola is physical and tough. He and Bynum would be good, then KMart scoring, sounds like a damn good option for a trade

lakers would obviously love to have lowry instead of dragic but if this is the best deal that comes up before trade deadline we have to seriously think about doing it. i think gasol's value is at its peak right now and if we just wait to trade him next year we might not get as much.

Of course you make this move ASAP. All pieces fit and what we need. All 3 are better and would provide more overall production then Pau. We are not gonna get better value for PAu from any other team. If we are not willing to get rid of both Bynum & Pau might as well make it happen. Scola is better at mid range shots so he will be more comfortable shooting those jumpers than Pau and he wont clog up the lane for Bynum either nor complain.
